Homemade basil pesto. Basil just bolted so i got to make a few batches. The good thing is I was able to plant a few more that were ready for the pot.
Well looks like all is going well in the garden. Soon enough will be eating fried green tomatoes. Mmm
Hey all!! We'll be in Springfield friday the 25th. Ill have eggs to sell if interested. $2.00 a dozen. Thought you would like the photo. Pm me if you need any.
Got the forge fire going. Oh yeah!!
Crazy steers got past me at the gate and in the yard yesterday. Acting like idiots. Took four of us to round them up. Linda was out with a broom trying to sweep up a 900 lb steer. Steer kept rubbing head on bristles. Gotta give her props. Lol
Well two ducks gone to glory. The idiots were our only two and kept going near the road or on other side of road. But they did a Thelma and Louise and went together. Such is life.
Tamale day here on the farm using Uno our crazy steer we processed not to long ago. Oh yum.
So it was a restful Sunday afternoon. Jojo ended up trying zen yogi after we were watching old Addams family episodes. You'll understand if you ever watched it. Pretty funny lil guy.
Still have eggs for sale. $3.00 a dozen. Non-gmo, pesticide free feed, free range. Deep yellow orange yolk. Good stuff worth the price, and better for you than any store bought has to offer. You get what you pay for folks. Blessings
Pappy and Mr Magoo.
Naaman's farm photo of the week.
I think someone is going to be taking a few days off!!!!
Three new arrivals.
These are really nice half horseshoe hooks forged by Jon. Jonny did a bang up job on them. Polished, $7.00, black painted finish, $7.50. Hooks are pre-drilled for screw or nail. Would be great for hanging keys, coat, etc. Great rustic design. If interested, let us know. We can also mail. Message us and like Jon at Forged In Flames. Thanks
Super-duper hero's on the farm.
Jonny's half horseshoe coat rack coming together. Wish he'd hurry up, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Not sure how Naaman did it but he knocked out a chicken. Accidentally kicked it in the head with his boot. He did carry the bird around for an hour till it woke up afterwards.
Need more Guinea's
Well, last guinea went to the earth on the highway the other day. She was a Daredevil.
Mulberries are ready to pick, mulberry jam here we come.
So finally got front gate put up, I'm not sure if this means were moved in or not.
Can't wait to get this guy in the freezer.
Yes we have eggs to sell. Yes they are delicious. Yes they are produced from chickens that are pampered, carried around, etc. Yes they are produced from free range, bug eating ladies. Yes with all our grains we look to find and feed only whole grains that are pesticide/herbicide free, and non GMO. Let us know if interested. $3 a dozen.
Got to hang it somewhere, just forged and painted a toilet paper holder for the wife. But of course she wanted a side design. I think I need to get the drywall up first. Lol
Beautiful honeysuckle's in the morning sun
Resident blacksmith at it. Just installed new side draft to forge. Working well.
Well, these are the new additions getting their 30 min rec time. These ladies are growing quickly.
Intertwined horseshoe hearts. These these look great hanging. Hand forged.
Sometimes I feel sorry for the hens that lay these double yoker eggs.
I love mornings where we are. The Lord always keeps reminding me how amazing He is. Our neighbors farm amidst the fog.
So eggs are cheap in the market, that's because they are cheap. Cheap in quality, cheap in flavor, cheap in the way they are kept and produced. If you want great quality, great tasting, and the very best in what we feed, and quality of life of our hens then get your order in. Blessings
We're breeding some large birds
