With the loss of Southern Sunrise this week, we are sure hugging his daughters Joy and Lucky a little closer. “Southern Sunrise Joy” and ”Lucky Sunrise” were brought to our farm, with their Mommas, when they were less than a month old. Now 10, they are two of Southern Sunrise’s youngest offspring - and have had some incredible foals of their own.
We were so very blessed that Larry Stevens encouraged us to start breeding MFTPR foals, and that he sold us such incredible ladies. And while we have a pending sale for our direct SS girls, the cherished memories of time spent with them will last a lifetime.
Rest in peace, Sunrise. Your legacy will live on through your incredible offspring. ❤️

Madison was born and raised right here on the farm. I’m nearly 80 years old, and I’ve been breeding, raising, breaking, and training Missouri Fox Trotters for well over 60 years. We do not buy horses for resale. I started this mare, Madison Taylor. Her sire is Southern Sunrises Hotshot, who won the 2-Year-Old Futurity and was Reserve Amateur World Champion. Madison has been ridden out alone and in a trail group. She has a nice, smooth, fast, or slow gait that is very pleasurable to ride. She has the most beautiful golden palomino color that stays year-round. She is easy to catch. If she sees you, she will come to you. She stands 14.1 and a half hands.
