I’m finding it interesting how this post is resonating with people. The views, likes, comments far exceed my charcuterie posts. And the number of people that have saved it and shared it… does that mean they are thinking the same? If you are one of those people, I’d love to hear your story. Here’s one I received on FB: “I previously owned a Charcuterie business and came to the same conclusion and ended up selling my business. I was looking through my phone to make a post for my husband’s birthday one year and realized my phone was filled with pictures of charcuterie instead of pictures of my family. I knew I had to make a change. It is a HARD decision to make and I admire you for making that decision.”

THIS!!! I know it was only 18 months, but I feel like I missed so much. I was constantly torn between saying yes to my family or yes to a client. And when I chose my family, I still felt guilty for turning work down.

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to close Olive Branch Charcuterie.

This summer gave me something I didn’t realize I needed… a chance to step away. Between celebrating my son’s wedding, vacationing with the best of friends, and saying goodbye to a close family member, my perspective shifted. I realized just how much I’ve missed over the past 18 months.

The charcuterie business is built around holidays, weekends, and special occasions. While I loved being part of your celebrations, it often meant missing my own. I worked on Easter, Christmas Eve, the day before Thanksgiving, and countless weekends that should have been spent making memories with my family and friends.

As much as I have loved creating beautiful boards and being a part of your birthdays, showers, weddings, and celebrations, I’ve realized that this season of my life calls for something different. When I also consider the rising costs of running a small business and the increasing cost of food, continuing no longer makes sense for me.

One thing I’ll miss most is the creative outlet this business gave me. I loved dreaming up new boards, trying new ideas, and creating something beautiful for your celebrations. But even more than that, I’ve loved the connections I’ve made along the way… with my followers, my fellow charcuterie friends, and most of all, my amazing clients. You made this journey so much more meaningful than I ever imagined.

Thank you for every order, every recommendation, every kind comment, every like, and every word of encouragement. Your support has meant the world to me, and I will always be grateful for this incredible community.

This isn’t a goodbye with regret. It’s a goodbye with gratitude, and with excitement for spending more time with the people who matter most.

This weekend, my son married his sweetheart of 7 years, and we are beyond excited to officially welcome Sierra to the family. 💍🥂

This is my whole crew… my 5 kids, their partners, and my husband. I’m sharing this here because behind every small business is a real family. Building a business I love while still making space for the people I love most is something I never take for granted. 💗

2 big events.
Charcuterie boards, crudités, fruit boards, cracker boards… every single one different and made with love. ❤️

It was a nonstop weekend of early mornings, late nights, grocery runs, prep, styling, packing, delivering and setting up… but seeing it all come together made it so worth it.

My biggest weekend yet, and I’m incredibly thankful for every order that keeps this little business growing. 💛🧀🍇

The amount of love these elevated mini charcuterie boxes got 🥹 But the question everyone kept asking was… what’s actually inside?!

Swipe to see how much we packed into a tiny 4x4” box. The feedback after the event was that it was the perfect lunch portion… with just the right balance of sweet + savory.

Inside each box:
• Mini brie bite
• 2 triangles of manchego
• 3 slices of salami
• 2 slices of bresaola
• Strawberry
• Blackberry
• Green grape
• Red grape
• Olives
• Cornichons
• 2 dried apricots
• Roasted almonds
• Macaron
• Edible flower garnish
