I know it’s been awhile but fall was a busy season for us. We had a friend come over and take pictures at the farm and she did amazing. We also transitioned from milking in a stanchion to building a milking parlor for our girls. We also lost a jersey and added a jersey to the herd.

I want to thank everyone that has supported us through this business start up this year. Yes it’s had its ups and downs but it’s been worth it all. We love to be able to get a great product to our community. Thank you again to everyone. I also want to thank Chris and Laura at Inwwods Nature Market for partnering with us and wanting to be a part of our business and being supporters or raw milk. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and may the Lord bring many blessing to everyone this coming year.

Farm Pure has joined a few programs the state of WV offer to help connect the community with locally grown products and grown by veterans. We have applied and been accepted into these two programs. We are able to put this logo on our products and are happy to serve the local communities of WV. These programs not only let people know whose locally grown but help in so many ways with classes, grant support and many more opportunities. Thank you WV for these programs!!

I have had many ask about the calf and he’s doing great. They named him Cinnamon. I also want to thank to the ones who gave to the fund that Laura from Inwood Nature’s Market started. We appreciate everyone who reached out and shared their condolences and support for us. We love this community and glad we get to be a part of it.

It’s with very heavy and sad hearts to say that we lost Flossie our family cow last night due to complications from calving. Flossie started it all for us she was our first and she’s the reason that we started Farm Pure. There would be no Farm Pure without her. We don’t know the reason sometimes but we know she was an amazing family cow. She showed us what community was and how they come together for each other. She will be missed and her head bumps to say “hey I’m here.”

Community. What is community? For me I found out what the farming community was about yesterday for the first time. One of our jerseys was having problems with calving to where we had to pull the calf out and start giving some IV solutions for the mom. Huge thanks to Mark from Crestview for taking time to come over and help administer the IV and show me how to do it. Thank you to Cody at H&W pastures for his help and knowledge. I truly seen what the farming community is about yesterday and I’m truly blessed to be apart of it. Again thanks for everyone’s help and pray for the mom and calf to continue to get better.

Good evening milk family, I just wanted to give you an update and ask for a favor. It was brought to our attention that we weren’t filling the jars up to the full 8 cups to equal a half gallon so we have taken that feedback and listened. We are now filling them to the brim. We have to leave a little space to prevent spillage and room for the funnel when filling the jars. Now for the favor, as you finish a jar can you please take a few seconds to rinse the jars out. We have received some back that would knock your socks off with the smell. The one pictured was probably the worst we have had thus far. If y’all can help us with that it would be much appreciated.

Want transparency well here it is. Here is a well put together site about our raw milk and the benefits from it. It also includes full transparency about our testing. The more informed everyone is the better. Please take some time and read over this website. Oh yeah, and go buy some milk!!
