I took a horn up the thigh yesterday 🤬😖🤯🥴. I seriously thought it was gashed open!! I guess that’s what happens when you have jealous heifers wanting to be brushed at the same time!! I’ll definitely keep my eyes on a swivel at all times, from now on!!

Skeeter definitely wasn’t coming for me…she just got me while trying to move Piggy out of the way. I went down and she just looked at me like, “whatcha doin??” 🫠

I’m not sure which pairing we are more excited about!! 🤩😍. But I have this feeling that they are all going to be show stoppers!!!

These two dogs are priceless!!

When you have an investment to protect, you want the BEST!! Since getting this pair, we havent lost an animal to predators! And, my neighbors havent lost anymore goats to predators!! They almost got their whole goat herd cleaned out a few years ago!!!

When I hear them bark, i go outside and listen….i can hear coyotes yelping in the distance. Cooper and Riley are giving them their warning to not come closer!!

🐶 That bark isn’t random 🤍

Great Pyrenees don’t bark because they’re bored—they bark because they’re doing their job. This breed was designed to guard wide, quiet spaces, often at night, when danger moves silently. So when they bark into the darkness, they’re announcing their presence, setting boundaries, and warning anything unseen that they are awake and watching 🐾

To someone unfamiliar with the breed, it can feel excessive.
To a Great Pyrenees, it’s responsibility.

That deep, echoing bark says, “I’m here. I see you. Don’t come closer.”
Most of the time, that’s enough. No chasing. No chaos. Just a calm guardian making sure everyone stays safe—including the people they’ve chosen to protect 🤍

Living with a Great Pyrenees means learning that silence isn’t always safety—and barking isn’t always a problem. Sometimes, it’s just a dog doing exactly what centuries of instinct taught them to do.
