We've been pretty quiet on updates on Dad, but he's doing a lot better. He's going through therapy and getting around a lot better. I was able to get Dad in the side-by-side today and go spread some fertilizer on one section of pasture. He sat in the Ranger while I spread, then we took a ride to check other pastures and check out the calves. From not knowing if Dad was ever going to come home after what he went through and seeing him at rock bottom today was a blessing to bring him out with me in the fields. We also got our new herd bull delivered last Saturday. Thank you to everyone who continues to call, text, and ask about Dad; it's greatly appreciated.

We pull into mellen dad tells me to pull up by the barn to see the cows and calves and first words outta his mouth you gotta a lot of cleaning to do.. I just looked at him he said i can still tell you what to do..

Tomorrow morning at 6 am my mom and I will be going to get my dad from the hospital and bringing him home..This has been a lot more of a situation then we ever imagined. It was suppose to be 20 minute home next day well, over a month later he’s finally coming home and we can’t be more thankful.. I just wanna thank my wife she’s been such a rock for me and my mom threw this whole thing. I’m not the type of guy who talks bout his feeling and she’d make sure to check on me and cuddle with me because i just love to cuddle 🤦. I can’t not thank you enough Jess for being there and helping me through this.. I need to thank Jeff delegan and Jesse Tobisch for being awesome bout giving me time I needed off to be with my dad and family I greatly appreciate it.. Dustin Novak thank u for being really cool bout me leaving and being gone a lot i appreciate it.(yeet).. my daughters and Austin for helping me out when I called.. Jeff Krause for feeding cows when I needed him to. Cole Spacek you don’t know how much I appreciate the conversations and snaps you helped me out alot and for that I’m very grateful.. everyone at the meat raffle and basket raffle thank you.. if I’m forgetting someone I apologize but tomorrow is a big day for us here on the farm.. have a good night everyone

🥩 Ribeyes and 🥩New York Strips- home grown here in Mellen.
We also were able to get a sneak peek of donated items. We don't think the words "Thank You" are big enough to express the outpouring of love and how we feel. Bill/Dad will be so overwhelmed when he finds out what his community is doing for him. A special "Thank You" goes out to Terrie Brendalen and Tanya Mesko Haderly, thank you for putting this together.💕 See everyone tomorrow at 5PM at Dusty's Bar.

We were able to spend time visiting Bill today in Duluth.
For everything he has gone through, he sure has not let it kill his determination. Josh spent time with him walking up and down the hallways (Bill still has great looking legs. Lol)
Priority continues to be nutrition, healing, and strength. He looks great. There is still a long road ahead, but he has made his mind up and we know he'll be home before the cows get to go out on pasture! I may allow him to take his place back as Josh's gate man. ;)
