This was Kanaan's first market beef for the Gogebic County fair. He purchased Theo from the farm. It was amazing to watch Kanaan's confidence return, and as soon as he hit that ring, it was like it never left. He did an amazing job this year with great support from his parents. Keep going Kanaan! You are a natural. We are excited to see you continue to grow and learn over the years. Thank you for letting us be part of your 4H journey!

Last weekend of fairs in the book. This is Kylie Anderson last show, and Braeden Anderson has a couple more years left. We've been able to watch these two from some of their first times showing until now. Both of them produced market ready animals that we are so proud to see in the market sale this year.

Just like that the Saxon fair is over. Just a trailer load of animals to the fair. Something easy but yet enough to make a quality bunch..The crew I have with me is like no other..We all work hard and make the fairs fun.. I gotta thank my wife for putting up with me because everyone knows how worked up I get. My daughters for the help and showing.. my parents for the help at the fair and for watering the cows at home so I could focus on the fair.. The tippett family for all there help set up showing vet day and just bring great friends.. 2027 will be my last year bringing animals to show to fairs lll have 35 years in and that’s enough. We’ll still be raising show cattle just won’t be bringing ours to fair anymore.. Thank you to everyone who stopped talked to us this weekend ordered more farm merchandise.. The backing we have at JP Limousin is one of the best.. we’ll see everyone next weekend in ironwood and the following weekend in Marengo..

We've been pretty quiet on updates on Dad, but he's doing a lot better. He's going through therapy and getting around a lot better. I was able to get Dad in the side-by-side today and go spread some fertilizer on one section of pasture. He sat in the Ranger while I spread, then we took a ride to check other pastures and check out the calves. From not knowing if Dad was ever going to come home after what he went through and seeing him at rock bottom today was a blessing to bring him out with me in the fields. We also got our new herd bull delivered last Saturday. Thank you to everyone who continues to call, text, and ask about Dad; it's greatly appreciated.

After work I was getting sawdust cleaning barn trying to get caught up on stuff around farm.. Well I get home dad calls says u got a new calf he said it’s by horse.. I go look another bull calf.. 2 more calves to go for the year…

Had to bring slice in the barn today and give her some assistance with her calf it was breech and he was big boy.. First time I had to pull a calf by myself and hopefully the last.. we got 3 cows left to calf for the year… can’t wait to get the cows and calves out on pasture..
