The fulfillment of starting something from a tiny seed and watching it flourish was such an accomplishment. We cherished the idea of continuing the heritage of old world variety produce. The thought of watching our past get lost in today’s GMO agriculture was jarring. Countless hours have been spent researching and testing the best heirloom variety’s for our climate to find the best producers and
the best tasting (the most important). We decide which crops stay or go by how good they taste. In today’s society, it is thought many acres are needed to grow in order to be successful and feed our community. We are living proof that acreage is nice but not necessary. Currently, we produce several hundred pounds of produce from 3/4 of an acre by diversifying our crops, inter-planting, and rotating our rows. We also use part of our house to provide nourishing quick crops like microgreens. Along with our produce and microgreens, we provide canned goods, reusable household products, and green living essentials. It’s easy to say we stay busy on our farm. We do our best to stay local, produce local, and support local. We hope you enjoy browsing our site and look forward to helping in anyway we can.
