Apparently, word got out that Miles has been putting in work at the Jr contest at !

A huge THANK YOU to for sending Miles an awesome care package filled with some of his favorite tools. After seeing him compete, they decided he needed a setup of his own—and Miles couldn’t be more excited!

For years he’s been “borrowing” Mom and Dad’s ThermoWorks gear (and by borrowing, we mean claiming it as his whenever we weren’t looking). Now he finally has his own collection and doesn’t have to ask, “Can I use the Thermapen?” every five minutes.

We’re pretty sure this officially makes him a serious pitmaster now. The only downside? We may never get our ThermoWorks products back. 😂

Thank you, ThermoWorks, for supporting the next generation of live fire cooks and helping fuel Miles’ passion for cooking. We can’t wait to see what he cooks up next!

Just an amazing normal weekend with the family, good food, and plenty of live fire — all fueled by keeping the pits rolling all weekend long. 🔥

Sunday was all about tri-tip tacos and loaded tostadas piled high with all the good stuff. Then Monday we slowed things down with smoked ribs and rib tips… and after years of trying, we FINALLY got Miles to eat ribs! That alone deserves a celebration. 😂

Huge shoutout to B&B Charcoal for the better burning fuel, for the killer pecan rub, and for the Stackhouse helping make everything taste next level.

And of course, thanks to all the people who showed up hungry and helped us clean out the food table. Weekends like this are what it’s all about — family, friends, fire, and food. ❤️🔥

Memorial Day weekend calls for one thing… cooking over open fire 🔥

Tonight’s lineup was absolute perfection — juicy tri tip sliced up for tacos loaded with caramelized onions, jalapeños, charred cheese, sour cream, and fresh guacamole. 🌮🔥

But we didn’t stop there…

We took it to the next level with crispy quesadilla tostadas piled high with tri tip and every topping imaginable. Crunchy, cheesy, smoky, messy in the best way possible. Honestly some of the best bites we’ve ever made over the fire.

Cold drinks, good company, and live fire cooking just hit different on Memorial Day weekend. 🇺🇸🔥

4th Place in the WORLD!! 🔥🔥

We could not be more proud of Miles competing in the FIRST Open Fire Meat Up Kids Division at the

Cooking shrimp, steak, and potatoes over live fire is no easy task, but Miles stepped up and delivered under pressure against some of the best young cooks in the world.

Even better, the feedback from BBQ legend Tuffy Stone said the shrimp, steak, and potatoes were all cooked perfectly, and the presentation was very good. Hearing “be very proud of this child” means more than any trophy.

The future of live fire cooking is bright, and Miles is proving that hard work, passion, and practice pay off.

4th Place in the world sounds pretty good to us! 🔥👏🥩🍤

The future of Open Fire cooking is looking BRIGHT! 🔥🔥

Miles put in some serious practice this weekend getting ready for the Kids Open Fire Division at Memphis in May Open Fire Meat Up! From managing the fire to learning timing, and cooking techniques, this young pitmaster is putting in the work and having a blast doing it.

There’s something special about watching the next generation learn the art of live fire cooking and grow more confident with every cook. The passion, determination, and excitement these kids bring to the fire is what it’s all about.

Memphis in May is here and this young cook is ready to bring the heat! 🔥🥩🍔

Yesterday was an interesting weather day at the ! Our team was one of 5 competing in the World Wing Cup Points chase. We may not have won, but we had a blast and raised money for a great cause, .
