This is what being a part of something bigger than yourself is all about! Members helping members! Great job Hendersonville Firefighters Association Local 3460

❤️🚒 WHEN ONE OF OUR OWN REACHES OUT, WE ANSWER.

Recently, the widow of one of our former Local 3460 brothers reached out to us with a need close to home.

She needed a new deck and accessible ramp to make it safer and easier to care for her mother.

For us, this wasn't just about building a deck. It was about taking care of family.

Our members came together to lend a hand and help turn that need into something real. What started as a request for help became another opportunity to live out something we believe deeply:

Once a brother, always a brother. And when one of our own needs us, we show up.

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who gave their time, skills, resources, and hard work to make this project happen. The finished deck and ramp will make a meaningful difference for this family for years to come.

Local 3460 is about serving our community, supporting our members and their families, and showing that the bonds formed in the fire service don't end when the shift does.

We take care of our own. ❤️

It was a great day for Tennessee’s professional firefighters at today’s TPFFA Executive Board Meeting in Hendersonville.

The TPFFA was honored to welcome Congressman Matt Van Epps, who represents Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District. Congressman Van Epps provided board members with an update on issues in Washington, D.C. impacting Tennessee and discussed the importance of working alongside the International Association of Fire Fighters and the Tennessee Professional Fire Fighters Association to ensure the voices of Tennessee’s firefighters are heard and represented in our nation’s capital.

We appreciate Congressman Van Epps taking the time to meet with our leadership and discuss the issues important to Tennessee’s professional firefighters.

Today was also a special day as TPFFA President Matthew Tomek, Secretary/Treasurer Barry Byers, and newly elected IAFF 14th District Vice President Chad Major officially presented the Mt. Juliet Firefighters IAFF 5645, with their IAFF Charter.

Local 5645 was organized in July 2026, and today marked another important milestone for their members and for the continued growth of organized labor in Tennessee’s fire service.

Congratulations to the brothers and sisters of Local 5645. We are proud to have you as part of the TPFFA and IAFF family!

Stronger Locals. Stronger State. Stronger Together .
