This photo was taken at the Nicollet County Fair in the early 1950s—our dad with one of his Duroc barrows. Compart’s breeding program traces back 75 years, and it all started with this kind of hands-on care and pride in the work.

On Father’s Day, we’re grateful for the generations that came before us—and the standards they set that we’re proud to carry on today.

Wanted to take a minute to clarify things for all my friends. SmokeMasters BBQ Isn’t going anywhere. We are established. Our products, our accomplishments, not to mention our team and our trademarked BBQ is way to important to me to ever leave it behind. I have received tons of concerns and questions regarding our new team, “Thin Blue Smoke”. TBS Is a new adventure for us, into a new realm of BBQ that’s different from what we have been doing for the past 18 years. That in NO WAY means that we are going to abandon the brand that we built off our own blood, sweat, and tears. SmokeMasters is here to stay, and I hope that you will all follow us in our new adventures with Thin Blue Smoke, as we have every intention of making it just as much of a proud tradition as SmokeMasters is, and will continue to be!!

Thank you all for your support, and we look forward to continuing this amazing ride across multiple sanctioning bodies in the BBQ world!!!
