We’re honored and humbled to share that Elderwood Farms has once again been recognized as the AOA National High Point Farm in our division.

To receive this award for a second consecutive year is something we never expected, and it’s a reminder of how fortunate we are to do what we love alongside such an incredible community.

This recognition represents years of learning, growth, and dedication—not only to showing alpacas, but to continually improving our breeding program and the animals entrusted to our care.

We’re sincerely thankful to the Alpaca Owners Association, the judges, fellow breeders, mentors, friends, and family who have encouraged us along the way. Every conversation, shared experience, and word of support has helped shape our journey.

Our alpacas are the heart of everything we do, and they continue to inspire us to learn, improve, and strive for something better every day.

To everyone who has supported Elderwood Farms—whether you’ve followed along from the beginning or just recently joined us—thank you. We don’t take this lightly, and we’re excited for what the future holds.

With 34 banners, Windy has become a cornerstone of our breeding program and a female we’re incredibly proud to have produced. Watching an alpaca born at Elderwood Farms develop into an AOA National Supreme Champion has been one of the most rewarding experiences we’ve had as breeders.

As proud as we are of everything she’s accomplished in the show ring, we’re even more excited for what lies ahead. Windy represents the future, and we can’t wait to see the impact she’ll have on the next generation.

With 34 BANNERS, Patriot stands as the most decorated pinto alpaca to date. His success across halter, fleece, and walking fleece prove his exceptional qualities from head to toe - and everywhere in between.

As incredible as his show career has been, we’re even more excited about what he’s doing as a herdsire. Patriot is already reproducing the traits that made him so special, consistently passing on outstanding conformation and elite fleece in both Pinto and Appaloosa patterning.

We can’t thank Jake Nystrom of Pine Valley Farm enough - not only for producing this incredible male, but also for trusting us to campaign him to his full potential and to officially welcome him to our herdsire row.

🏆 Show Season Recap – Day 4

It's Scandal's turn to steal the spotlight—and what a season he had!

Stillmeadow Farm Candy's Scandal kicked off the 2025–2026 show season by claiming a championship at VAOBA from the mature class. He carried that momentum into the spring, finishing the season with 10 banners across halter and walking fleece, highlighted by an incredible Judge's Choice award.

What an amazing way to transition into what is sure to be a successful breeding career. We can't wait to welcome his first cria to Elderwood Farms in 2027!

🏆 Show Season Recap – Day 3

It's the Art Man's turn! 🎨🦙

Illini's Work of Art only attended one show during the 2025–2026 season, but he certainly made the most of it. At VAOBA, Artie turned heads with his striking color and unique pattern, earning a banner before heading back to his other Tennessee home.

We're incredibly excited to watch this guy's future unfold. If there's one thing we're confident about, it's that he'll be adding plenty of color to the next generation.
