We’ve had an outpour of encouraging words and kind messages after our theft announcement. It’s helpful to know that so many of you would stand behind us of if we blasted stealers online. It wasn’t a debilitating amount of money, but we work hard to bake goodies, raise chickens and grow the garden. It’s not cool whether it’s $1 or $100.

Moving on from the disappointment of the weekend - here is next weekends’s menu!

🍕 The Pepperoni Pizza sourdough is a massive hit so we’re bringing it back again!
🌶️ We’re giving Sundried Tomato a break and bringing back the spicy Jalapeno Cheddar
🍞 Like always we’ll have the Original available
🍪 We sampled some new cookies this weekend and will have more of those yummy flavors available again - original chocolate chip, chocolate peanut butter chip and maybe we’ll test out another new one? Oatmeal Raisin? Plain Peanut Butter?
🍭 And of course, cake pops! Really looking to step up the offerings on our cake pops - butter pecan, red velvet, vanilla sprinkle, chocolate sprinkle, cosmic brownie, coconut, Oreo and banana are just some of the plans we have over the next few weeks!

What sort of items would you like to see on the stand this fall?
~ jams and jellies?
~ pumpkin sourdough and muffins?
~ fire cider?

Again. Theft at the farmstand. To the tune of over $40!

Obviously the camera isn’t helping. Even though we now know who to keep an eye out for, it feels weird blasting those people on the internet.
- maybe we need to switch to a pre-order only model?
- maybe we need to shorten the window of when the stand is open so it doesn’t feel like such a target?
- maybe we need to start hanging out in the front of our house instead of staying a bit out of site? I always thought it would make people feeling comfortable but now it looks like all it’s doing is contributing to some being comfortable with stealing

I’m open to suggestions on how we can avoid this.

Well, the day WAS going well until we closed things up for the night to find we were shorted $42. Usually we end up a few dollars off but being shorted by this much is a bit ridiculous. Very unfortunate that there are people out there stealing from their neighbors.

WOW WOW WOW!

I’m totally blown away by how quickly things have moved on our “mini” farmstand today!

As of 2:30, we only have a few items left:
~ 4 Monster Cookies
~ 1 S’more cookie
~ 1 Dozen eggs
~ 4 Half dozen eggs
~ Soap, bug spray, eye gel, dandelion salve
~ Celery and swiss chard

NOTES:
~ If you purchased our bug spray, it looks like to picked up the tester instead of a regular sized product. DM me if you need to make a swap and you notice this after the stand is put away!
~ If you purchased flowers, please bring the jars back next time. We’ll reuse them!

She’s been up and running for almost an hour!

We sure are getting a lot of people stopping by today. Thank you again for all of your support! And I hope the people stopping by weren’t looking for bread 😬 I will always try to keep our social media and website as up-to-date as possible!

Now I’m enjoying a bit of outside time with the chicken ladies. I will work on posting next week menu later tonight!

It's “Mini” Farmstand Day

When: Sunday, August 30th at Noon
How: Self-serve, cash, Venmo

What does “mini” mean?  All it means is that there will not be sourdough. Since sourdough is ultimately our best seller, I feel it is important to make this distinction.
If you head to our website www.sprigandember.com, the Learn section has our blog post explaining why it is not feasible for us to have a farm stand every Sunday.
What we WILL have tomorrow:
~ sourdough discard chocolate chip cookies
~ s’more cookies
~ Cookie Monster cookies
~ chocolate peanut butter cookies
~ butter pecan cake pops
~ banana bread
~ eggs
~ flowers
~ garden things, soaps and various sundries.

Another successful farmstand in the books!

- 8 hours of prep on Friday
- 12 hours of baking on Saturday
- 6 hours of packing and stocking on Sunday

We sold out of sourdough in about 2 hours
We sold out of baked goods by 4:30

Thank you to everyone who came out and got some tasty treats! As much as I would love to have a nicely stocked stand for everyone all of the time, my oven only holds so many loaves, my kitchen is only so big and I can physically make only a certain number of baked goods before I’m ready to kick off the shoes and hair net and pass out!

For now our limit is however much can be baked in about 16 hours. Unless we get a bigger oven. Which means we need a bigger kitchen. I think you see where this is going - we’re pretty much at capacity!

Thank you again to all of our sweet neighbors who have been supporting us for the past two years. Thank you to all of the new comers. And if you have been spreading the word - please share our website which has farmstand menus and times! A lot of newbies show up around 3 or 4pm and are confused because we’re close to sold out by then.

It’s farmstand day!

We’ll have a variety of BREAD and COOKIES and CAKE POPS and more!!

And because the pizza bread was so popular, we made twice as much this week!

We’re being really ambitious about the stand this week so expect a lot more goodies than usual - I don’t want to name specifics yet incase I run out of energy before everything is made.

The next full farmstand will be Sunday, September 6th.
