Good morning from Large Marge! 🐔

Apparently, I'm not allowed to have hobbies around here. Yesterday, I found a fascinating treasure in the dirt, grabbed it, and took off running. FINDERS KEEPERS, HUMAN! 😂

Naturally, she chased me through the mud, nearly tripped over her own feet, and eventually robbed me at clawpoint. My precious loot? A zip tie. Not much flavor, but a delightful shape! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

May your day bring you wonderful treasures and may nobody with opposable thumbs be around to steal them! 🤣

Have you ever seen a spider lily?

They are called hurricane lilies because they burst into bloom during the peak of hurricane season, popping up overnight after heavy seasonal rains. 🌀✨

These vibrant, striking flowers bloom on completely bare stalks long before their leaves ever grow, acting as nature's colorful reminder of the changing autumn season. 🔴🍂

We have hundreds of them just starting to erupt here on our Louisiana homestead.

Good Morning from Silk-E! 😂💗

This year's molt has been particularly rough on some of my sisters. There are feathers everywhere, and a few of them look like they got caught in a ceiling fan. Personally, I'm not bothered. I've spent my entire life looking like Mother Nature started a craft project and then wandered off halfway through. I'm basically a permanent work in progress! 🤣

But I've learned something important, ladies. Beauty isn't about having every feather in place. It's about confidence, a little sass, and knowing you've still got the boys lined up even when you look like a rejected Muppet. And trust me, those boys haven't filed a single complaint! 💅🐔

May you strut through today with the confidence of a hen who's missing half her feathers but still has the entire rooster population on her mailing list! 😂💕

We use different things every time for their fresh dust bath but they love peat moss the best!

Good Morning from T’Challa! 🖤🐔

Sometimes the human just gets in the way of important chicken business. This morning, I was in a terrible hurry to get out the front door when I encountered an unexpected obstacle. Naturally, I attempted an emergency aerial bypass. Unfortunately, my flight path intersected with her ear.

She said I nearly gave her a chick-cussion and told me to watch where I was going. MA’AM. I am a bird with places to be and a schedule to keep. If you insist on standing in doorways, you’re going to end up getting hurt. I feel a little bad about the whole thing, but honestly, she has no one to blame but herself.

Anyway, I hope your morning takes flight without any unexpected headwinds, and may your day be filled with fewer collisions and significantly less paperwork from the Department of Chicken Aviation! 😂🐓
