I trim their spurs about once a year. It's definitely that time again. Everyone is molting so there are feathers everywhere. I wish they could molt their spurs.

Good morning from Cheeks! 🐔

I keep hearing, “What’s wrong, Cheeks?” and “Why are you mad?” NOTHING IS WRONG. THIS IS JUST MY FACE. 😂 I was apparently hatched with a permanent look of deep suspicion, mild annoyance, and a strong desire to know who touched my stuff.

I promise I’m actually a happy little bird. I enjoy snacks. I enjoy digging. I enjoy wandering around with my chicken friends. I am, internally, a ray of sunshine. So please stop asking if I’m okay. I’m GREAT. My face just has a flair for unnecessary drama.

Good morning from Princess Anastasia! 👑

Yesterday I had the honor of meeting a cat face to face. Well… half a cat. I believe she was either undersized or still in the cat-chick stage.

My first instinct was to puff myself up and send her packing, but then I realized this was a rare opportunity for interkingdom relations. So I put on my most diplomatic smile and introduced myself. She was delightful. Absolutely purrfect. Now I’m thinking I should meet more forest creatures. I may have accidentally discovered my calling as the royal ambassador of the chicken realm. 😂
