We didn’t think Lois could top last year’s muffin haul, but as of this morning, she has blown past it! She has baked 164 dozen zucchini muffins this season, with no end in sight. That equates to 1,968 muffins!

At 94 years young, Lois continues to inspire and impress us with her incredible baking skills. We’re not sure where she finds the energy, but we sure are enjoying the muffins!

Greetings from the farm on this lovely Saturday! Today, we would like to take a moment to appreciate a very special person who is dear to our hearts and whom we are privileged to call Mom, Grandma, and great-Grandma. Many of you may know her as Lois.

She has been busy in the kitchen this growing season making sure no zuchini goes to waste. As of this morning, she has baked an astonishing 162 dozen zucchini muffins. Yes, you read that right! This translates to 1,944 muffins that have been baked, wrapped, and stored in the freezer this year alone. Did I menion she is 93 years young!

It’s a big night for our granddaughter, Wynter, and her local 4-H group! Buyer’s dinner at 5pm with the Livestock Auction to follow at 6pm. Need a pass - shoot us a message and we will get you one.

If you freeze a lot of corn, we definitely think you should give this little tool a try! 🌽 It has saved us so much time and effort when getting our corn ready for the freezer.

We had a little surprise at the cow pasture yesterday!

We all had our suspicions that Selene might be pregnant, but the major signs just weren’t there—until this little guy suddenly showed up!

Momma and baby are both healthy and doing great, but we’re still scratching our heads over this surprise bonus cow we didn’t even know was on the way!

Now that we're deep in the dog days of summer, we figured we'd gently remind everyone what's coming. ❄️ You're welcome. 😅

If you live where we do, you either learn to love every season... or spend half the year complaining. We chose the first option—and we'd say we nailed winter.

Yep... we're those people already looking forward to snow. Go ahead, judge us—we'll be over here dreaming of fresh powder and skijoring.

And if you've been considering getting a pony... consider this your sign. 😉 Go find your four-legged bestie, dust off those skis, give them a fresh coat of wax, and start counting down to winter!

Go ahead... blame us if you end up bringing home a pony this fall. Just remember—we know a pretty great place for them to stay!

🐷 This little piggy is headed to the Market Livestock Sale!

On Thursday, August 20th, Wynter will be selling her pig at the Market Livestock Sale at the Northern District Fairgrounds in Cadillac. She has worked hard all summer preparing for this moment, and we couldn't be more proud of all the time, dedication, and effort she's put into her project.

We'd love for you to come out and support Wynter and all of our local youth exhibitors during fair week! It's a great opportunity to see the hard work they've put into their livestock and other projects throughout the year.

If you'd like to attend the livestock sale, let us know and we'll be happy to get you a buyer's pass. We'll be out delivering letters and passes today!

Farm life means you're always thinking a season ahead. The first load of hay for winter rolled in today, so winter prep is officially underway!
