World Sake Day is tomorrow! 🍶

October 1 marks World Sake Day, a tradition that began in Japan in 1978. A perfect excuse to open a great bottle of sake.

We’re celebrating with IWA, created by Richard Geoffroy, former Chef de Cave of Dom Pérignon. Back in April, William, our resident Master Sake Sommelier, visited IWA in Japan with Richard. Yes, we know this sake very well, and we think it deserves a place on your table.

🍷 Gloria really is glorious!

Château Gloria started in 1942 with just 6 hectares purchased from Château Beychevelle, then grew parcel by parcel with vineyards from classified growths including Gruaud-Larose, Léoville-Barton and Lagrange.

The 2020 is classic Saint-Julien: Cabernet-driven, with cassis, to***co, cedar and structured tannins. Great quality for the price and perfect with grilled lamb or a good steak.

Dassai CEO is coming to 305 W**es! 🇯🇵

We now have Dassai Blue 23, 35, 50 and Yuzu in the shop, and on September 16, we’ll welcome Kazuhiro Sakurai, fourth-generation CEO of Dassai Inc., for a special tasting at 305 W**es.

Dassai Blue is produced at Dassai’s brewery in Hyde Park, New York, which Guilherme “William” de Macedo visited for its grand opening in 2023. Check some of the pictures.

A great white to start the week! 🥂

Paitin Roero Arneis Elisa 2025 is very floral and perfumed, with gorgeous aromatics, freshness, and beautiful texture from six months on the lees.

The w**e is named after Elisa Elia, who managed and preserved the family w**ery through the difficult years of World War II.

Simply a really great Arneis and a beautiful expression of Piedmont.
