π―π FUN FACT ABOUT LOCAL HONEY! ππ―
Did you know that honey harvested from the same beehive can taste AND look different depending on the time of year?! π€―
Thatβs because bees collect nectar from whatever flowers are blooming at the time. πΈπΌπ³
π· Spring Honey β Often lighter in color with a mild, delicate & floral flavor.
βοΈ Summer Honey β As clover, wildflowers and other summer blooms take over, honey may become richer, sweeter and more full-bodied.
π» Late Summer Honey β Often has a stronger, deeper flavor as bees work plants like goldenrod and other late-blooming wildflowers.
π Fall Honey β Can be darker, bolder and more robust depending on whatβs blooming nearby.
And it can change from one harvest to the next! π―
Thatβs one of our favorite things about local raw honey β every jar is a little snapshot of what was blooming around the hive when the bees made it. ππ»
No two harvests have to taste exactly the sameβ¦ and thatβs part of the fun! π
