Gum Tree Farm

Gum Tree Farm Gum Tree Farm is situated in the Piedmont of Virginia. Our flock is Merino based and certified organic. The sheep graze on lush pastures and come in a variety of colors from dark brown, to silver, to white and many shades in between.

Each ewe produces abo Shearing takes place in the late spring. We skirt the fleeces and send them to be processed organically by Green Mountain Spinnery. The wool is then available in many forms: raw, roving, hand spun, machine spun or as blankets, mittens, hats or socks. Orders are filled in six to eight weeks while supplies last. Let us know what you are interested in and we will do our best to fill your request.

We had an unforgettable time on last week's bus trip to Maryland! Everyone made new friends and learned so much - it was really amazing! Many thanks to those of you who came and made it so special! And to those who were unable to come - make sure to join us next year! Many thanks to our tour stop hosts: Shepherds Manor Creamery, Caprikorn Farms Artisan Goat Cheese, The Mill at Meadowlands, Gum Tree Farm
