Oops!! I accidentally bought a new horse a few days ago!!! Welcome to the family Birdie!! I couldn’t pass up this amazing dude to add to my string of perfect bay geldings ❤️ He’s been awesome in the barb so far and has hacked out like a champ. Can’t wait to hunt him on Wednesday. A huge thank you to Laura and Lei for making this happen. And also to John for not telling me I was crazy….out loud.

So much to be proud of this morning.

4 of us went to Snickersville this morning. My girlfriend Kristine Ely took Charlie and he piloted her around for her very first time out. Kitra and John had a ball. Sydney and Chulo rocked it. And TC…..he was a super star as usual. He jumped. He galloped. He was perfect.

Awesome trail ride and cookout at the barn this morning! All the ponies were super stars ⭐️ We all had a great time led by John and his up and coming field hunter, Reserve. Sydney rode her mare out aside for the first time. All the boarders horses were completely awesome!

When we decided to start this business THIS is the type of barn John and I wanted. A family. Everyone helping everyone. No drama. Lots of laughing. Hot dogs on the grill. Cold beers after a great ride. Passing around phones telling stories of hunting and showing. Looking at everyone’s photos.

This is what it’s all about and that makes my heart very happy. ❤️

John, Sydney and myself were lucky enough to get out all together for closing meet at Snickersville Hunt. John didn’t get to hunt very much this season so it was nice to have him out with us.

I reorganized the tackroom and carefully put the coolers the cats have been sitting on the past few months on the bottom shelf so they could easily get to it and I didn’t disturb their nap time.

Zeus says that these saddle pads up here look entirely more inviting. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s been such a busy few days, this post is a day overdue!

Welcome to the family Reserve The Right. This handsome dude is settling in quite nicely here at JS2. He’s learning the routine and making friends. He got a fancy new blue sheet today because he’s a little larger than I had thought. An appointment with the resident farrier is on the books and then we will get him going. I’m really looking forward to watching Reserve and John Pemberton come together as a team. A huge thank you to Teresa Croce for making this awesome connection for us! And to Chris Kolb for trusting us with this special boy 🥰

JS² Equestrian

Located in the heart of Middleburg, Virginia, we are a small family owned boarding and training facility. At JS² we have a little of everything. From polo ponies, to fox hunters, show hunters to jumpers. We also offer a full range of boarding packages, full board, field board, layups, rehabs, and full livery, there is something here to fit almost any budget and desire.

The barn at JS² offers everything to keep you and your horse happy and comfortable. Spacious stalls, wash stall with hot and cold water, lovely outdoor wash rack for those gorgeous warm days, tackroom, separate feed rooms, large aisles, small turnout groups, automatic waterers in the paddocks, and some of the most amazing ride out in beautiful Middleburg Hunt territory. We are a quick hack to Snickersville Hunt and to many of the Middleburg Hunt fixtures. 10 minutes to the Upperville Show Grounds for both Upperville and the Loudon Benefit Horse Shows. Is polo your thing? You could hack done the road to Banbury Cross Polo Club for a Sunday match, or load up your ponies and be there in 2 minutes to play.
