It’s officially canning season, so far we have made 7 quarts of tomato soup, 7 quarts of ketchup, and 12 pints of pizza sauce.

What a week! Record breaking rain and flooding in our surrounding areas. I thought too late to get the tomatoes picked, so we lost some, but still had enough to can some tomato soup and ketchup. We also squeezed oranges, lemons and limes (no we aren’t growing those ourselves) and made some lemon and lime extracts. We still have plenty of cherry tomatoes for snacking on as well.
We also got some pickles canned and put up.

And the best part of the week is still to come - baby #7 is scheduled to enter the world tomorrow morning!
