On Nov 10, 2023, our skid steer snapped a crankshaft. We had it towed away for repairs, never imagining that the next 2 years and 11 months would bring a tortuous story full of wrinkles that defy common sense or sound business practices. We talked about selling it and cutting our losses. We talked about drastic measures and imagined scenes of confrontation and strife. In the end we just waited.

35 months later it came back to us. It was delivered in good working order by a delivery man who didn't know the story and didn't understand why I filmed the entire delivery and the celebration of our kids.

This picture is a reminder if you need it today. God can bring the lost things home even after you lose all hope. He sees the sparrow fall, he tracks the broken skid steers, and he cares about everything you love and miss.

How many bees can you see? There must be a nest of yellow jackets here because every vendor today at the Batavia Farmers Market has more yellow jackets than customers. 🤣 Come on down and buy some apple butter before enough yellow jackets conspire to carry off a jar!
