We specialize in purebred Highland cattle and do not breed mini or crossbred cattle, including those with the chondro (dwarf) gene.

Highland cattle are naturally a mid-sized, efficient breed when raised properly. Our focus is preserving the integrity, health, and traditional characteristics of the Highland breed.

🚨 PSA: Highland cattle are NOT minis 🚨

This sweet little calf? About 50 lbs.
That big fluffy mama? Around 1,100 lbs.

Highlands are naturally a standard sized breed, they’re just SLOW growers. They mature later than many other cattle, which means they stay small and adorable for quite a while, but they absolutely grow up. 🐂✨

So what about “mini Highlands”?
Most so called minis come from:
• Unethical breeding practices
• Poor nutrition that stunts growth
• Excessive bottle feeding
• Crossbreeding with smaller cattle

A healthy, well bred Highland will grow into a sturdy, full-sized animal, and that’s exactly how it should be. ❤️
