Our girls need a break.

Let us know if you would like a rooster or two or more for your flock or your dinner table.

Thankful to Hatch & Hoof Homestead for taking the time to teach our family how to process chickens. We were able to witness and to practice hands on the process from dispatch to freezer.

Now our hens can enjoy their country life with a few less roosters to annoy them. 🐓

(Full disclosure: the backdrop is not our farmhouse/barn, but maybe we can create it in reality one day 😉)

Always thankful when there's pretty colors from the garden as well as roaming the woods.

Had to stop and admire some of God's beautiful creations today. 🏵🌸❣️

In addition to hatching and raising chickens, we have a healthy garden growing and have recently added the ability to sharpen chainsaw chains as well as larger timber operation chains.

Just look at the length of one of the recently sharpened chains by our master gardener and chain sharpener, Jim Grady Sr. It's total circumference is double his height!

Reach out if you need chains sharpened.

Being kind is the right thing to do. Go out and be kind on purpose. ♥️

With the recent predator attacks, we are well on our way in rebuilding the flock. The first 2 batches are turning 8 and 10 weeks old and doing great. 🐤🐥🐔🐓

This week, we hatched another 9 chicks from a friend's collection. Stay tuned, we may just have hatched Zombie chicks. 🥚🐣

Let us know if you need some chicks.

We've been working on some projects to build up our little farm. We've even enlisted the knowledge and skills of a local FFA member as one of our resident experts and farm hands. 😉👩‍🌾

The goats pictured are not ours, as we took a field trip to a nearby farm to learn from their operation. We do plan to add goats to our farm family, so if you have any you would like to share with our small farm, please send us a private message.

Stay tuned... 👀
