When I started hosting self-care events, I knew one thing for sure—I wanted to build something bigger than myself. My dream was to uplift other Black-owned and women-owned businesses because our success is collective. If we want to grow, we must grow together. I’ve seen this in action through businesses like MNBlackBox, and it’s inspired me to stay committed to this journey.

At our Chill & Fill event on Sunday, October 27th, from 4:20 PM to 7:00 PM, we’ll be showcasing some incredible vendors:

Many people believe that creating art is a solitary activity, often thinking that the most precious works are made in isolation. I, too, usually create my art alone, as do many other artists.

However, I counter this perception by teaching art to participants at community events and in my own studio. Too often, art is only valued by the artist who created it. Viewers can gain a deeper appreciation when they hear directly from the artist about their inspiration, but this isn't always possible.

Art is truly appreciated when you take the time to understand the creative process. That's why I'm excited to extend an invitation to to host her event at my studio, F-O-K Creatives.

This event will offer participants the chance to see live artists at work, create their own masterpieces, and take their creations home.

Gravy Babies with the sudden passing of our beloved Sammy, our pop up at Golden Thyme on Selby will be ended a tad bit sooner than we thought. I definitely need time to grieve properly and yall wore a sista out on this one!

We want to send a quick shout out to Sammy's Avenue Eatery, Rondo Community Land Trust and Golden Thyme for hosting us and all the community for supporting this pop up! Special hats off to for turning the spot up.

We lost a such a great soul. Thank you my friend, my brother and my mentor for everything you did for us. I am forever grateful for all the ideas you kept me inspired with. I will remember your smile and kindness forever. Your Favorite Chef....
