Meet our founder: Hi, I’m Tasya 👋 — founder, nut-roaster, mom to two amazing girls, wife to a great guy, and devoted dog mom. I started Isadore Nut Company over 12 years ago because I wanted snacks that felt good in every way: clean ingredients, locally sourced when possible, vegan and gluten free (like me), with protein and healthy fats you can feel good about.
Back then I was studying to be a yoga teacher and learning about the healing power of spices like turmeric and cayenne, so of course they found their way into my recipes. The name Isadore honors my grandpa, who believed food could be medicine long before it was trendy — I’ve carried that with me and added my own belief that it has to be truly delicious, or you won’t want to eat it.
I’m also endlessly inspired by travel — from markets close to home to flavors discovered farther away, those experiences show up in our mixes in small, surprising ways. At the heart of it all is a value I learned as a kid at Southside Family School in South Minneapolis: the Jewish idea of Tikkun Olam — repairing the world — and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, included, and treated as equal.
As we step into 2026, we’re focusing our energy on being a true gifting partner for companies who care about the planet and people as much as we do, and we’re working toward shifting our packaging from post-consumer recycled materials to fully compostable options — a move I know my grandpa Isadore would cheer on. 🌱
I couldn’t be more grateful for this community — for 12 years of cheering us on, choosing us for your gifts, and helping a small, values-driven nut company keep going through some very hard years for food businesses. Being part of Minnesota’s food community, and knowing you’re out there sharing and savoring what we make, means more to me than I can say. 🤎
