Lassen Volcanic National Park

Lassen Volcanic National Park is a unique U.S. national park in northeastern California known for its active volcanic landscape, steaming hydrothermal features, alpine lakes, and scenic mountain views. It was established in 1916 following eruptions of Lassen Peak between 1914 and 1917.

What makes Lassen special?

* Features bubbling mud pots, steaming fumaroles, hot springs, and geothermal areas often compared to Yellowstone.

Top attractions

* Lassen Peak – Hike to the summit for panoramic volcanic views.
* Bumpass Hell – The park’s largest hydrothermal area with boiling pools and steam vents.
