Alabama Deer Association Joins Cornwallis 1828 for the 4th Annual Doe Rodeo Statewide
National Speaker for This Year’s Event to Be Announced Soon
Braggs, Alabama — Cornwallis 1828 is proud to announce that the Alabama Deer Association is joining the 4th Annual Doe Rodeo Statewide, helping grow this important “Hunters Giving Back” mission across Alabama.
This year’s Doe Rodeo will begin Thanksgiving weekend, November 27, 2026, and run through January 31, 2027. The goal for the 4th Annual Doe Rodeo is to harvest 225 does, helping provide food for an estimated 36,000 people in need through food banks throughout the Alabama Black Belt region.
The Doe Rodeo was created around a simple but powerful mission: Hunters Giving Back. Each harvested doe represents meals for families, support for food banks, and a way for hunters, hunting clubs, landowners, businesses, churches, and community partners to come together for a greater purpose.
Cornwallis 1828 will host a special Celebration Week Push from December 4 through December 13, encouraging hunting clubs and hunters across Alabama to join the effort and help reach this year’s goal. The main celebration day will be held on Sunday, December 13, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Cornwallis 1828 in Braggs, Alabama.
Cornwallis 1828 will also be announcing this year’s National Speaker for the 4th Annual Doe Rodeo soon.
“We are honored to have the Alabama Deer Association joining us as the Doe Rodeo grows statewide,” said Demp Bell, Founder of Cornwallis 1828. “This event is about conservation, community, and feeding people in need. Our goal is to bring hunters together from across Alabama to make a real difference in the Alabama Black Belt region.”
Cornwallis 1828 is now looking for hunting clubs statewide to join the 4th Annual Doe Rodeo. Clubs, hunters, landowners, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners are invited to be part of this growing mission.
