Thanks for all of the support this year everyone! It’s been such an incredible year with so many opportunities I would have never dreamt of. I’ll be “out of the office” until mid January. Expect delayed responses until then.

If you have any pictures you’d like to share with me of cakes I’ve done, please send them my way! Food photography is mostly overwhelming for me so I almost never can bring myself to take pictures before a cake hand off 🤪

Heyo it’s ya girl! Wanted to give y’all a little heads up, prices will be increasing.

As a small, new, business owner, I have been very concerned with getting as many orders as I can, or giving Snake Oil as much as I can to pump in some money, as well as get more experience! But now that I’m feeling more comfortable in my ~*baking skin*~ I’ve realized I’d rather produce something I’m very proud of EVERY single time instead of staying up late at night wondering if my client liked their cake, or if a single person who bought something from Snake Oil didn’t like it.

Be on the lookout for new pricing sheets (if you noticed I deleted my last ones a while ago in preparation for this). Raising prices means taking less work, but being able to focus more on the work I do take. In the near future, I’ll also have a contract for every order so that you know what to expect from me, and you know what I expect from you! I’m grateful for all of you supporting my dream and I look forward to seeing what we can create together!

As a small business owner in a rural town, this post scares me. But ultimately, I don’t care about the customers I may lose. I’d rather be true to myself and stand up for what I believe in with what little power I do have in this world. I’ve gone from sad to hopeless to just fully enraged now. I believe money talks. What’s yours saying?

Roe V Wade has been overturned, taking a major step backwards, but we all expected that didn’t we… Planned Parenthood is matching all donations made by June 30th. This quarter’s 10% of proceeds are going to Planned Parenthood. In case you wondered where I stood, abortion is healthcare. Abortion is freedom from an abusive partner. Abortion is lifesaving. Abortion is no one’s business except the person’s getting one.

Planned Parenthood also provides education, testing, birth control, and so many other services. I believe people should have access to these services no matter this location or financial status. The services PP offers can prevent abortions, and then also provide them if needed. We have to do better. This is a start.

I encourage you to donate today as well. If you’d like to, any orders placed (for later dates of course) and paid for by June 30th will be included in the 10% donation.
