We are so thrilled and honored to announce that our Raspberry Marionberry is a 2026 Finalist!

I remember making this fruit spread for the first time in our tiny kitchen while Mike was swathing one of the fields late at night during harvest. I had more energy then, and only one kiddo, so I always experimented with recipes after bedtime or at nap time. I loved adding light spices, florals, and other things that complemented our beautiful berries. This time, though, it just needed to be Oregon Raspberries and Marionberries- nothing else (besides a squeeze of lemon). It really was like tasting the Willamette Valley in a jar. Today, this is our top selling fruit spread and I love the memories that go along with it!

How lucky are we to be able to preserve these tart, juicy berries and share them with the rest of the world? I never dreamed of winning an award like this- and if we are chosen as a winner this time around, it will be lucky number 13. No matter what, it’s so special to be in the company of other finalists who are incredible makers, farmers and artists. When the world seems to be spinning too fast, slow and good food brings us back to our roots, gives us much needed joy, and a reason to gather.

Congratulations to all of our fellow finalists!

🍓As a perk of our job we always (and I mean ALWAYS) have fruit spread in our fridge. So, we find ways to use it on a daily basis. This Sweet + Savory Turkey Melt with Strawberry Lavender was a hit for a quick lunch!

🥪Sweet + Savory Turkey Melt🥪
Ingredients (makes 1)
* ½ tbsp butter
* 1 large flour tortilla
* 1-2 tbsp Mt. Hope Farms Strawberry Lavender Fruit Spread
* ½ cup shredded white cheddar
* 2 slices deli turkey
* 6-8 slices salami
* 1 ½ cups arugula
* ¼ lemon, juiced
* Drizzle olive oil
* Pinch of salt and pepper

🍓Directions🍓
1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter.
2. While the skillet heats, spread the desired amount of fruit spread over the tortilla, then place the tortilla into the pan.
3. Sprinkle the cheese over the fruit spread, then layer the turkey and salami. Cover with a lid and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted, meat is warm, and the bottom of the tortilla is crispy.
4. Remove from the pan and place onto a cutting board.
5. In a small bowl, toss together the arugula with the lemon juice, a small drizzle of olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper until combined.
6. Place the arugula salad onto the tortilla and fold in half. Slice and enjoy immediately!

✨This flashback to 2016 trend makes me smile! It was a big year for us and our farm.

🏅We won our first Award for Spiced Marionberry. We went to the awards ceremony and Marketplace to celebrate in San Francisco and it will always be a cherished memory for us

🫐We had our first Aronia berry harvest and was so proud!

🍇It was our 2nd official table grape harvest. We worked so hard for every sale. Some things don’t change!

💙It was our 10th year of marriage and our oldest (Sam) was our only little farmhand. Mason would join us in 2017.

Sometimes, I wish I could go back and tell us how proud I am. We were young parents, young farmers and we barely slowed down to celebrate accomplishments and wins. We pushed ourselves really hard to build our business and to prove ourselves. But I still see so much love in these pictures and I adore this little family and farm. That also hasn’t changed.

I’m ready for the adventures, extra gray hairs, and big wins ahead of us in this next decade. Every moment with my family and every year on this side of heaven is such a privilege. ✨

Did you know that it’s National Get to Know Your Customer Day? I know, there’s a “day” for everything…but, this one made me think about the wonderful people who support us. The people who have kept us going for over 12 years.

They see a good meal as a way to slow down. They see food as a way to gather the people they love. They value quality over convenience. They read labels. They care where their food comes from and who grew and made it. They love setting out a beautiful charcuterie board, hosting brunch, or bringing something thoughtful when invited into someone’s home. They believe in caring for the land, supporting family farms, and passing down traditions that connect generations.

🍓Our customers are the best and we’re so glad you’re here! 🌿

🤍Number 19. Time keeps marching on, and we keep choosing each other, over and over and I am so thankful. Some years have been mostly blissful. Some have been harder than we ever imagined. But, our love and respect for each other keeps growing and we are a little more rooted each anniversary. So grateful for the family, farm and business that we have built. I can’t imagine life any other way. I am so blessed to be on this adventure with you .

Like I say every August, our anniversary falls during the busiest time of year. So, we’ll celebrate as the weather cools and the combines are parked. Until then, back to wrangling two kids, picking grapes, bubbling jam pots, and a farm life I’m continually thankful for and surprised by. Cheers to 19!

This is important and worth watching, researching and speaking up about. Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm and Lee Farms have information about the proposed rule changes for Oregon agritourism and farm stands on their website. Agritourism has become so important here in Oregon. Farming is not easy, especially right now, and these proposed changes make diversifying and sharing the farm with your community harder. That’s not the direction we should be going to support farms- we are already losing so many family farms each year.

💜 A story in a jar

Our Spiced Marionberry Spread was the very first recipe we created from the fruits of our own farm. It started with just a few jars, made from juicy, sun-ripened Marionberries picked straight from our family patch. Ripe, sweet, and just tart enough—they were the best berries I’d ever tasted, and I knew they were something special.

We stirred them gently with a touch of warm pie spices—cinnamon and nutmeg—that reminded me of the cobblers my mom made every summer. That first batch? Not quite right. Neither was the sixth or seventh. But we kept tasting, adjusting, sharing jars with friends and local markets, and slowly… we found the balance.

And that little recipe? It went on to win a blue ribbon at the Oregon State Fair and has since become a three-time Good Food Awards winner—honors that celebrate not just exceptional taste, but also our commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship.

This spread will always mean so much to us. It’s a reflection of our soil, our heritage, and our love of sharing meaningful food from our farm to your table. Every jar carries a bit of that journey—of tradition, patience, and the joy of finding just the right flavor.

We hope you taste the care in every spoonful.
