Four months old this week!

It’s hard to believe our first babies of the season are already 4 months old. It feels like just yesterday they were tiny newborns, and now they’re growing into beautiful, playful little goats with personalities all their own.

Watching them grow and change over these last few months has been one of the best parts of farm life. Time sure flies!

Our sweet Aragorn

We knew he was special from the moment we brought him home. Watching him grow from a tiny buckling into the handsome herd sire he is today has been an incredible journey.

This year alone, he fathered 8 beautiful babies, and we’re excited to see the impact he’ll continue to have on our herd for years to come. No matter how much he grows, he’ll always be our sweet boy.

The rain has been a blessing for the garden… and the weeds!

Between all the rain and warm weather, the weeds have decided they own the place. 😂 The vegetables are doing great, but so are the weeds!

So today’s project is spending some quality time in the garden pulling weeds and reclaiming a little space for the plants. It’s not glamorous, but it’s all part of growing your own food.

I’ve noticed this nest tucked down in one of our aloe plants for a little while now, but today I finally took a peek inside and found several tiny baby birds!

It’s amazing that out of all the places on the farm, mama bird chose an aloe plant as her nursery. Nature always finds a way to surprise us. We’ll be giving this little family plenty of space while they grow and get ready to leave the nest.
