Well you win some and you lose some!

Unfortunately Farah whom we previously thought settled to her AI was in raging heat this morning, so she got a date with the handsome Karev. Im still very happy with that breeding though!

However these 5 does just went past 24 days and are quiet so we will be doing lots of ultrasounds later this week. It’s looking like the beginning of March is going to be busy!

Ok the list you all have been waiting for! Here is the deal, I received a boat load of messages the last several hours with inquiries about specific bucks. I really couldn’t keep up with it all. So to make it fair I am making the list public. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE AND I WILL NOT HOLD WITHOUT PAYMENT IN FULL VIA VENMO OR PAYPAL.

If it is being picked up at the Convention tomorrow I need to know ASAP and need to know who I am connecting with while there. I do not own a shipper so if you need it shipped it’s your responsibility to send one. I will be attending the collection 11/25 in CT with CryoCaprine and could get it on their route BUT you will need to contact him directly to confirm and set it up. I will hold it until Nationals next year for an additional $50 storage fee.

I do not know the G6S status of many of these bucks so please do your research. I have pulled a few straws already and checked quality and the motility was excellent. This tank has been maintained absolutely perfect. I also added in some of our more modern bucks that I have available, many of them we have owned ourself and used in our program.

An ode to a barn cat…

Last night we said our goodbyes to Batman. If you have ever been to the farm you know exactly who he is! I swear he had a fan club. He was always fully involved in everything and often was held and cuddled by any visitors he could get attention from. Nicknames included “booger man” for his constant allergies, or “Doula Batman” for always being in the pen while we delivered babies and having to be moved out of the way 😆 An avid bird hunter, he was frequently seen jumping and catching a bird mid flight. We adopted him from a barn cat program over 8 years ago and at that time estimated to be 8-10 years old so he lived a long full life! We have been watching him age rapidly over the last few months, and knew it was coming soon. Sadly I found him dragging his back end yesterday and crying to me for help. We made the decision to help him peacefully pass and I held and cuddled him while he took his last breathe. He knew a life full of love! On our way to the vet we witnessed a double rainbow and it was like it was a sign that they were waiting for him over the rainbow bridge. ❤️

Batman, you weren’t “just” a barn cat, you were a friend and a cherished family member. Im sure you are up there enjoying unlimited goats milk and head scratches. We love you buddy!

Now that the cat (or should I say goat?) is out of the bag. We bought an entire tank full of amazing historical and prominent Nubians! Nearly 600 straws! We appreciate Alan Decatos work on putting together a very thoughtful collection of bucks over the years and we can’t thank his son Craig enough for trusting us with such an incredible collection and maintaining this tank to perfection all these years. We did pull a few straws for rhe AI clinic on Sunday at the convention and were super impressed with the quality under the scope with them testing 60% or better with motility, obviously this will vary by straw/collector/buck etc but what we have looked at looks great!

That being said, we are doing an inventory today to check accuracy and deciding which ones we will be offering for sale. A good portion of it will be retained. The list of what is available will be posted later today with free delivery to the convention tomorrow (Wednesday). Keep an eye out! This is the original inventory list that came with the tank to get your attention, if you have been in Nubians long enough you will certainly see why we are excited! 😍

That’s a wrap to the show season 2025!

First I have to thank everyone that helped make this weekend happen. With myself being the secretary it made juggling the herd into the show ring tricky. BUT so many people helped make the show run smooth and I appreciate it like crazy!

Second, Topsfield is always our favorite even if it’s bittersweet that it’s the end. Our extended family comes and joins us for a day filled of fun and laughter and we get them into the ring as well. It’s so fun to watch the kids run around with their goat family friends and their cousins as well. They had a blast! It was super wet and windy but we were able to go and enjoy the fair more without the crowds so I’m really not complaining! The kids enjoyed the fair and TURKEY LEGS! Lol

The herd did great as well!

Lets highlight a buck we have available in the tank! He is the AI son of ELITE J&R Spirits HT-K Kaitai!

I have an exceptional amount of Trifecta in my tank (over 50 straws) and need to make some room. His two year old first freshening daughter Fox’s Pride KT Hollis just went Grand Champion Senior Nubian at the Big E. She only needs one more CH win to finish her championship, her littermate sister Fox’s Pride KT Sutton also has had a decorated show career and received her first milking leg a few weeks ago as a 2yr FF. Hollis was also Junior Grand Champion Nubian at the Big E in 2023 as a kid.

What he does:
Increases overall area of attachment in both fore and rear
Increases overall capacity
Increases height and width of escutcheon
Improves delineation between the teat and udder floor as well as shape of teat
Increases width throughout while maintaining dairy strength, his daughters are super elegant but also balanced!

What he doesn’t do:
He won’t HURT teat placement but he wont improve it either.

This… THIS was a big moment for us. Yes, we have brought home many Best in Show banners from the Big E over the years but NEVER one as emotional as this one.

Moulin Rouge almost wasn’t… Rouge almost was removed during delivery in pieces. More than once in the delivery we discussed the possibility of having to do the unthinkable to give her momma a fighting chance at survival. When Rouge finally made her entrance into the world and was alive, we cried out of exhaustion and pure disbelief. This was a big win for us as a FAMILY and our continued fight against Cache Valley and mosquitos, this was a big win for us. My mom was there for this delivery and it will forever be one of the worst we will remember. But this was the little doe who COULD! This was the little doe who couldn’t stand for days, but then DID. She stood with grace and strength yesterday. She represented the many older sisters that have come before her, and certainly her sire Kastdemur’s Prince Carnaval and all he has done for us. Our miracle baby ❤️

I swear her big sister CH FOX’S PRIDE KPC SPRING WINGS was watching yesterday, when we went to get Rouge’s papers for tattoo check and flipped to Wings page in the book upon opening it, she sent us a sign… she is still here. We miss her terribly. Here is all the glory that she was and will continue being.

We are using her sire again this year via AI and although our doe kid orders are full for the Spring we have some exciting buck orders available!
