Excited to have finished my first finger/hand knit ribbed blanket with chunky chenille yarn. It might have taken a few hours, but the steps were very easy. I’m loving the airy, snuggly feel! Perfect for these warm summer nights.

Note to self: 5 skeins is a good length for recliner throw blanket. Cast on 20 loops. Ends start in back 2- front 2 pattern.

Prepping my elderflowers for the freezer to save for this weekend when I make elderflower apple jam. Check out my wild blackberries! I am going to do one more harvest and make blackberry jam too. Last picture is of JoJo and Dolly enjoying a treat after I gave them some shots.

Just a quick pic of my baby birds that I hatched this year. I even had to help one out of its shell! They are quickly growing up and I love their coloring! One is a rooster for sure. Look at the last few posts for their life story, haha!

Fluff balls are doing well! One has Easter Egger coloring and the others look more like Rhode Islands. I need to check them for s*x next, and then wait to see if I’m right! 😆

3/5 eggs hatched, that seems like good odds! I will need to incubate more!

Made sure to spend some time with W***y (aka Wildfire) today. He loves having his mane combed, LOL! It relaxes us both. 🌞 He also loves using my body as his personal head scratching post, so dust and horse hair seem to be my permanent accessories…

These cooler mornings are a tease! It will soon be ear warmer and beanie season again!! Let me know if you are interested in anything from last years collection. I’m all for making more! Here are some designs I was playing with today. Diamond pattern ear warmer (1) and reversible-textured beanie (2-3). Also started playing with a chevron pattern for a beanie. Pictures of chevron results to come.

Wishing friends and family down south a speedy hurricane recovery! Weather in north Florida has been wonderful these last few days and I am extremely grateful! Rosie and Mabel love the cooler weather too!
