I was given a crash course on farming my first day on the job.

What I thought would be a relaxing trip out in the side by side turned into quit the adrenaline rush.

After coming to a screeching halt, my sister jumped out to tag a calf.

Before I realised what was happening, my husband sprang out after her.

Odd, she was doing just fine with the little guy.

That's when I noticed 4 very angry momma cows stampeeding towards us, slide to a halt and lower their heads to the ground with deafening moos.

I threw my phone and leapt out to join him on intimidating these 1,300 pound animals back away from my sister. She was still wrestling the calf on the ground.

Either my 5 foot 8 inch, 120 pound frame and timid yells were more scary than I previously thought, or the solid metal buggy behind us kept them at bay until she was able to scramble to safety.

I'm going to choose to believe massive Angus cows find me ferocious.
