Could it be!? 👀 That tall boy was in a nest with the one other bird laying today... Unless I totally blanked last night AND this morning... That would mean that we have out FIRST raptor egg!?

That little egg is from Helen, the odd Easter egger who happens to live with my 18 raptors. The brown egg is from my other, separated flock of EE just as comparison.

My only hesitation is the color. It looks oddly similar to the green color of that little egg.

An interesting social development going on in the coop this evening.

Obelisk of the "Kid flock" has been perching there (Left) for a week or so - sometimes he gets a little beat up over this choice. Tonight he chose to bring his choice of ladies to the big perch too.. This left Veda feeling out of place and unsure of where to sit. Veda had been making moves to be in charge over Vesper but I don't think he'll win that one, so its surprising to see Obelisk rattling his confidence. The kids are catching up in size.

These two handsome fellas are seeking flocks of their own.

They are both American Jackraptor at about 18 weeks old. All of my birds are handled daily and are friendly. They are not for free and they must be picked up - no shipping.

They are not for meat - I'm only offering them up for someone interested in begining their own jackraptor flock. If they stay with me, thats A-OK!
