Do you need help dreaming up your small business? 😍

We built our truck on supporting small business. 99% of products on our truck come from a small business.

With that being said I want to talk about the small business that quite literally helped turned our “dream” into reality.

We first met Stolan Acres a few years ago when they were doing wood working (which by the way they are incredible at) and watched them spend months and months creating a system for small businesses.

We had completely different visions when we first started. We had our discovery call with them and I can still do this day remember when the vision for Four99 clicked. They helped us with this and we are forever grateful.

I was also VERY clear that my logo and my templates would be done with a human hand and not created solely by AI and they seriously understood the assignment! Our logo was created , by hand (sorry Steve 😝)solely off of an actual picture of a neon sign I sent.

When working with a small business, they understand. They are there to guide you through the process. You are talking to someone who understands the struggles, and the highs and lows of a small business.

What you see if a representation of us, but as first time business owners we needed that extra input to tie it all together.

You know just as well as I do that being a small business we have to do these things one at a time which was so helpful for us since they offer their packages “à la carte”

Keeping my word with y’all and staying transparent

The absolutely worst part of owning a small business, hands down.

We sat down and looked at our numbers, and with the rising cost of everything, we’ve gotten to the point where we have to make a small change.

Our farm chicken and beef have gone up, the tallow we use has gone up DRASTICALLY, and then there’s gas, propane, vendor fees, packaging, and everything else that comes with running a food truck.

We’ve tried really hard to absorb these increases ourselves and keep our prices the same, but unfortunately, it’s just not possible anymore.

We know you guys love the meal option, so instead of making a big jump in our sandwich prices, we’re going to make fries an add-on. This lets us keep our prices as close as possible to what you’re used to.

We could cut costs by using cheaper ingredients, but that’s not what FOUR99 stands for. We use meat from small farms, 100% beef tallow, no seed oils, no HFCS, no artificial dyes and homemade sauces.

We’re trying to give y’all a choice for REAL FOOD, and we hope you’ll continue to support us through this journey. ❤️

The uncertainty on our faces this morning was not fun. Seeing y’all continue to support us will bring that smile back.

Weekly Schedule & Updates 💃🏼

As we prepare (mentally and physically 🥵) for fall we have a few updates we want to share with you throughout the week!

On todays agenda:

Our hotdogs will be on special starting this week! As we move out of summertime, we will be replacing the hotdogs with something new and fun! Come out and get you one before they are gone!

7$ solo (ketchup, mustard)

Four99 will also be offering weekly pickups for the chicken use on our truck! We will soon offer weekly meat pickups if you are someone who wants to buy local beef, but don’t know where to start! More details coming soon!

We are standing by the integrity of this company, because we would want you guys to do the same for us.

We will wait for them to release their own testing, and in the meantime look for another solution.

Making the mayo is a little tough in our situation, with the amount we go through. It is only good for a certain amount of time and would contribute more to the food waste we already have.

There are a few other options out there, but again would need to see testing as well, and cost is a HUGE factor with how much we go through (and it’s already crazy pricey) Changing mayos would increase price pretty significantly.
