Hey everybody, I've got to give a quick shout out to my brother Vince Tyler Eoff! The whole time we have been away, he has been keeping the truck going. I like to say he is "keeping the life support on." Vince will be there this week Wednesday thru Saturday for dinner 330pm to 7pm. Thanks everyone for continued support, and look out for more posts pertaining to some new and exciting things we want to do with the truck in the near future!

Sorry in advance for the long post. I've been with Kirsten for 13 years (you may have heard me refer to my "wife". We aren't technically married, but that's a guaranteed event in the future 😊) We both grew up and went to school in Morrilton and have never really left since. Kirsten has always had a passion for cooking, and she dreamed of cooking as a profession for as long as I've known her. I, on the other hand, grew to love cooking, only working foodservice as a job (fast food, serving tables, etc) After working in food service for long time, I wanted to leave and do something else, so I decided to go for something crazy and try to open a food truck. It seemed like a perfect fit- Kirsten's love of all things food and my experience working and managing in foodservice. We had a looming problem that we didn't realize- Alcohol. What started as a passion project, became a hindrance from our addiction. We prioritized drinking over preparation- a habit that worked fine when I worked for someone else. I would do my job, go home, drink, wake up, and repeat the process. When you own your own business, however, there is no staff to pick up the slack. There is no corporate, no lawyer, no accountant on retainer. As the finances slipped away, so did Kirsten's health. Alcohol finally caught up to us.
Don't take this as a negative post though. Thanks to support from family, friends, and countless healthcare workers, Kirsten finally got a liver transplant June 28th here in Richmond, VA. She will recover and we will be back (shout out to my brother Vince Eoff, mom Clarissa Riedmueller, Dad Jim Riedmueller, and Grandma Claudia Riedmueller for running the truck in our absence) As we get further away from the horrible addiction that ruled our lives for so long, our passion to cook food burns brighter than ever. Richmond has been great (amazing food scene up here) but we are excited to come back to our hometown and resuscitate Tony's Almost Italian! Thank you everyone for continuing to support us, even with the inconsistent hours, menu changes, and overall problems! Look out for an update on our exact return date, and exciting additions to the menu when we return!
