My favorite time of the day. I love the sunshine coming through the fog and the trees. The ram has calmed down now that he’s been up here for a couple of days with these ewes.
Happy Wednesday ❤️🐑❤️

Loving the looks of these young Blue Australorp roosters. One will be the rooster who will eventually replace our older rooster, when the time comes. They’re all looking great and are friendly.

This is what frustration looks like when you’re a ram. His girls aren’t ready but he can smell the ewes in another pasture. Wait a bit, buddy. Soon enough they’ll be ready for you.

Guess what she’s watching. It’s something she’s never seen before and was apprehensive enough to get behind the ram at one point.
What could she be scared of?
A 13 1/2 yr old geriatric 23 lb dog who couldn’t care less about the sheep. 😂
But Maisie had never been that close to her. ❤️🐑❤️

The odd couple. This roo likes to follow our lamb, Nadia. She used to chase it out of the paddock but now it seems they have become friends.

Do you have any odd couples?

The big guy having a bit of fun. Now that he’s in this paddock and shelter, he’s walking a little better already. Keep improving, big guy.

Even if I did lose some squash plants to the caterpillars, I still have some pumpkins and squashes that I hope to harvest soon.
