Haven’t worked bees much the last two seasons , but these ladies decided one of our triple deep nucs was a suitable place to move in. So we gave them an ever bigger home yesterday! This hive was FULL of honey and the queen was running outta room. So hopefully this will keep them busy for the season.

Let some black oil sunflowers volunteer in the yard for the girls. They are loving their fall harvest :)

Guess what ??? Honey is ready!!!! 2021 proved to be a great producer and we need to move some stuff out of here so we can harvest more!

I couldn’t see the phone screen so it’s a bit wobbly. But DANG! This gal is all over that pollen this morning. No idea how she even was able to fly carrying all that 🐝🐝

Girls are filling up honey supers quite nicely in this yard ! We have honey supers in several places but the ones from this yard seem to fill up the fastest. Almost time to get ready to bottle it up!

Little warm today ! These girls are bearding. Just working on keeping their hive at a good temperature. The flow is strong and they are storing nectar at a really quick pace. Running out of honey supers is a good thing, and we are quickly approaching that.
