Y’all, I’ve been hearing some opinions lately, and I think it’s time we settle this!

“Those are the perfect amount of raisins!”
“I need more cinnamon!”
“There’s too much brown sugar!”

Listen, I know I can’t please everybody, and that’s okay! But if you’ve tried our Cinnamon Raisin Sourdough, THIS POST IS FOR YOU!

And here’s the funny part… I DON’T EVEN LIKE RAISINS! 😂 But somehow, I absolutely LOVE eating this bread!

Y’all, sometimes you just have to stop and take an hour for yourself. ❤️

We have been BUSTING our butts lately, and if I’m being honest, self-care is usually pretty low on my priority list. There’s always bread to bake, orders to fill, markets to prep for, a business to run, kids to take care of, and a million other things that need my attention.

But when you spend 8–10 hours a day on hard floors, your feet definitely start to feel it! 😂 So this afternoon, I scheduled myself a pedicure, and let me tell you… my feet are SO thankful!

Now I’m heading home to work on homework for my small business grant program before calling it a night, because tomorrow is another long day.

Was it a whole afternoon off? Nope. Did I get an hour to sit still, relax, and do something for myself? Absolutely. And sometimes, that’s exactly what you need.

Consider this your reminder to take a little time for yourself, too. You can’t pour from an empty cup, and taking care of yourself matters, too. 💙

We’re so excited to be setting up this Saturday evening at Twilight Under the Trees in Mount Airy! ✨

We’ve been asked to go dessert-heavy, and y’all… we are taking that request VERY seriously! 😂❤️

We’re loading up the dessert table with all kinds of goodies, including:

We're on the road to Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center for our monthly Hospital Farmers Market! We'll be set up in the conference room from 10 AM–2 PM today, and we can't wait to see everyone!

This month, you'll find:

We'll have a wide assortment of sourdough breads, pastries, desserts, and several of our DIY kits! There's something for everyone, whether you're stocking up on bread, grabbing a sweet treat, or picking up a fun project to make at home.

One quick note: I'm currently sold out of our sourdough starter kits, but I'm hoping to have more available in November! ❤️

✨ A LITTLE SNEAK PEEK! ✨

Yesterday ended up being the most Monday Monday of all! 🤦‍♀️ Two of the three kiddos had doctor’s appointments, and when we got there, we found out Wilbur actually had TWO appointments. Because apparently, one appointment wasn’t enough for a Monday! 😂

Thankfully, Olivia was willing to head over to the new space and work on organizing the retail area for me, so I have a little sneak peek to share with y’all! ❤️

We still have plenty of work to do, and what you see here is just ONE shelf of what we’ll have to offer! We’re so excited to finally start moving into our retail and storage areas and getting everything organized.

We’re still waiting on the all-clear for the kitchen due to the roofing issue. We’re hopeful that roof work will get started this week, and if everything goes as planned, we can hopefully begin finalizing the kitchen move next week. 🤞

There’s still a bit of a wait ahead, but we’re getting things ready on our end, and I cannot wait to share more with y’all!

Fingers crossed that everything lines up just right! 🥰🏡

This is our third fall making sourdough bread bowls for our friends at State of Graze, and it’s been so much fun being part of this partnership! ❤️

There’s just something about a warm bowl of soup served in a fresh bread bowl that makes a chilly fall day feel a little cozier.

Our bread bowls sold out quickly this past week, so if you’re planning to grab one, be sure to get there early! 🥣

One of my favorite parts of owning Twilight Farm Shoppe is getting to work alongside other local businesses. I love seeing local businesses support one another and finding ways to bring good food to our community. These are the kinds of partnerships that make shopping local so special. 🌾❤️
