Another great week of training is underway at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland!

Our campus is full and buzzing with activity as students take part in a full schedule of courses, including emergency medical services, hazardous materials and WMD incident command, fire and life safety plans review, emergency resource deployment planning, code enforcement, youth firesetting prevention and intervention, fire investigation, and executive leadership.

Interested in advancing your skills? Seats are still available for upcoming resident classes on a first-come, first-served basis. NFA classes are free, with lodging, travel stipends, and airport transportation provided. Meals on campus are at the attendee’s expense.

The Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs (OJP) announced this morning that it has finalized more than three times the number of Public Safety Officers' Benefit (PSOB) claim determinations compared to the previous nine months. This is a step forward in honoring the sacrifice of first responders and their families, and CFSI looks forward to continued collaboration with the PSOB Office.
