Mrs. Meaniepants is gonna be a mom SOOOO soon!! I picked up a few eggs to candle them today, and this one was chirping! It’s camera shy, naturally.

Candling is when you hold the egg up to a light source in the dark, to see if the egg is opaque=developing chick inside, or translucent=no chick. The tech has evolved a bit - I use my iPhone flashlight. The three that I checked were all good. She’s sitting on nine. Anybody want some chicks?? 😂

🪱 Vermicompost harvest day at Frog Prince Farm!

Our littlest farmhands produced 20 pounds of black gold, which will become ~150 GALLONS of the very best natural fertilizer—rich in microbes, nutrients, and soil life.

A few fun facts:
• Worms are fed kitchen scraps once a week
• Compost is harvested every few months (this batch went a little longer)
• The entire system lives indoors and takes up ~2 square feet
• No chemicals. No waste. Just tiny workers doing big work.

Healthy soil isn’t dirt. It’s alive. 🪱🌿
