Hello December!

Absolutely wild that we hadn’t had a true killing frost until last night. In years past I’ve waited to dig any dahlias until Frostmas came and went. So glad I didn’t wait this year. Still loads to do—but definitely ready to embrace this season.

👋 I’ve been quiet on the socials.

After loosing wayyy too many dahlias last winter followed by an awfully rainy spring, WE MOVED! Leaving Mountain View after 9 years, getting married on the property + bringing two babies home was more than a bit emotional—but we didn’t go far. We landed at a dream spot in Conway, WA and can’t wait to grow here.

📷: I transplanted these Cafe au Lait dahlias after we closed in mid-July + they did so well.

In addition to prepping beds and planting a ridiculous amount of spring bulbs, I’ve been busy getting a head start on dividing my dahlias this year. I transplanted most of my dahlia stock in early summer to the edge of one of my husband’s 🎃 fields. (PSA-I don’t recommend transplanting dahlias in the summer.) I’m determined not to lose any this winter + am happily getting them tucked away. I’m looking forward to sharing some with you this spring via my tuber sale.
