Quick heads-up from Skagit Dash šŸ‘‹šŸ»

Our website is currently experiencing a temporary outage due to an issue with our hosting provider.

This is **not an issue with Skagit Dash itself**. Our website hosting is actively working to restore affected services, and our website should be back online once their systems are fully restored.

Our work, files, and systems remain safe and intact.

Thanks for your patience while our hosting provider gets everything back up and running. ā¤ļø

Sometimes, stepping away from home gives you a fresh perspective.

I've been spending a few days in California, and while it's been nice to enjoy the trip, I've also been putting in plenty of hours working on Skagit Dash. Between meetings, planning, and behind-the-scenes projects, it's been anything but a vacation. 😊

Everywhere we've gone, I've found myself paying attention to local restaurants, delivery services, and the little things that make each community unique. It's amazing how many ideas come from simply observing how other places do things.

Every mile has reminded me why I started building Skagit Dash.

My goal has never been to become another giant delivery company. It's to build something local that truly supports our restaurants, drivers, and neighbors here in Skagit County.

This trip has given me fresh ideas, new inspiration, and even more excitement for what's ahead. I can't wait to get back home and put those ideas to work.

See you soon, Skagit County. šŸ’š

Something meaningful is getting ready to grow at Skagit Dash. šŸ’š

Soon, I’ll be introducing the Skagit Dash Founding Community—a community of people who believe Skagit County deserves a locally built delivery service designed around our restaurants, drivers, customers, towns, and rural communities.

There will be many ways to be part of it.
When the campaign opens, some people may choose to support it financially. Others may share our story, introduce us to a local restaurant, offer encouragement or advice, or simply follow along as Skagit Dash takes its next steps.

Every bit of support matters.

Skagit Dash is being built carefully, honestly, and one solid step at a time—right here at home.
More details about the Skagit Dash Founding Community are coming soon.

I’d be honored to have you along for the ride. šŸš—

šŸ’š One thing I’ve learned while building Skagit Dash…

The more I learn about the restaurant delivery industry, the more I realize something…

No two restaurants are the same.

Every family-owned diner, neighborhood cafƩ, food truck, and local favorite has its own story, its own way of doing things, and its own goals.

Growing up here in Skagit County taught me something that’s stayed with me my whole life:

You don’t earn people’s trust by making big promises. You earn it by showing up, listening, working hard, and doing what you said you’d do.

That’s the mindset I’m bringing into every step of building Skagit Dash.

I’m not here to tell restaurant owners how to run their business. I’m here to listen, learn, and build a delivery service rooted in the values I grew up with—hard work, honesty, and neighbors looking out for neighbors.

The more conversations I have with local restaurant owners, the more I’m reminded that every business is different. Every owner has their own priorities, their own challenges, and their own vision for the future.

Because of that, I don’t believe there’s a one-size-fits-all approach to local delivery.

If Skagit Dash is going to earn the opportunity to work alongside our local restaurants, I believe it starts with listening first, building genuine relationships, and earning trust one conversation at a time.

At the end of the day, Skagit Dash isn’t just about delivering meals.

It’s about helping local restaurants thrive.

It’s about supporting the people who pour their hearts into serving our community.

It’s about neighbors helping neighbors.

And it’s about building something our community can be proud of.

šŸ’¬ I’d love to hear from you.

Whether you’re a restaurant owner, work in a restaurant, or simply enjoy supporting local businesses…

What’s the one quality you think every great delivery partner should have?

Thank you for following along on this journey. Every comment, conversation, and word of encouragement reminds me why I’m so passionate about building something right here at home.

Local delivery. Local partnerships. Built for Skagit County!

šŸš§šŸ’š Behind the Scenes at Skagit Dash: We’re Getting Closer
When I started Skagit Dash, I knew I wanted to create something special for Skagit County.

What I didn’t fully realize was just how many pieces would have to come together to build a local delivery company from the ground up. šŸ˜‚

Over the last few weeks, there have been a lot of late nights, a lot of coffee, and a whole lot of time spent behind a computer screen.

I’ve been designing, building, testing, improving, and watching an idea that started as a simple thought slowly turn into something real.

And honestly… it’s been pretty incredible.
There have definitely been moments where I’ve been staring at my screen late at night thinking, ā€œOkay… this is a lot.ā€ šŸ˜‚
But then I remember why I started this.

Skagit Dash was never just about delivering food.
It’s about supporting the restaurants that make our communities special, creating opportunities for local drivers, and building something right here in Skagit County that people can be proud of.

Since my last update, we’ve made some BIG progress behind the scenes:

šŸ’š The Skagit Dash Driver Academy is growingļæ½We’re creating a training experience that helps our drivers understand what it means to represent a local company — with professionalism, reliability, and great customer service from day one.

šŸ’š Our restaurant partner experience is taking shapeļæ½We’ve been building the systems, resources, and processes that will make it simple for local restaurants to join Skagit Dash and feel supported along the way.

šŸ’š Our operations foundation is coming togetherļæ½A successful delivery takes a lot more than just picking up food and dropping it off. We’ve been creating the behind-the-scenes systems that will help restaurants, drivers, and customers have a smooth experience.

šŸ’š Our website and customer experience continue to improveļæ½Every update brings us one step closer to welcoming our first customers and growing our local community.

One of the coolest parts of this journey has been looking back and realizing how far this idea has already come.
What started as a vision has become:

✨ A local brand✨ A growing online presence✨ Restaurant partnership tools✨ Driver training programs✨ Business operations systems✨ A community of people following along and cheering us on

Of course, building something from scratch comes with challenges. There are things to figure out, things to improve, and plenty of lessons learned along the way.

But every challenge means we’re one step closer.
Somewhere between the farm roads I grew up on and the late nights behind a computer screen, Skagit Dash is becoming real.
I know these roads. I know this community. I know the people who make Skagit County special.

That’s why I’m taking the time to build this the right way.
Because when we welcome our first restaurant partners, our founding drivers, and eventually our first customers, I want them to know they’re part of something built with care.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along, shared our posts, sent encouragement, and believed in this crazy little idea from the beginning.

We’re still building…
But every day, Skagit Dash gets closer to becoming what I imagined from the very beginning.
