kers!! Flashover BBQ & Catering was started by David & Melissa Williams when their love of food, bbq, and entertaining became a hobby. David aka Dave grew up in the hospitality industry being the son in a family owned restaurant, he grew up cooking & bartending there until he met Melissa aka Missy who grew up in the food and catering industry working in the deli & market at Thrifty Foods for much of her 20's. The business became just that when Dave had been fooling around with spices & ingredients to attempt his own BBQ Sauce. He played with different dashes of this and sprinkles of that, until months later he finally hit the jackpot on one special combination of full-bodied flavors. Because the husband and wife duo both were also equally passionate about being Volunteer Fire-Fighters for the Sedro-Woolley Fire Dept they decided to name their savory sauce "Flashover BBQ" All the while testing his sauce making at home, Dave was also building a giant bbq in his little spare time. With Dave's passion for good cooking for the quantities and Missy's passion for entertaining and catering the two started working small weddings and events for friends and family, they loved it.
