Darth Donald Trump says:
"This time it was needed,
This time we'll have peace,
This one brings stability, no
This one brings us peace.
This time they are terrorists,
They have WMDs,
This time brings stability, no
more wars after this one we'll have peace"

We had a great time today bonding over some donated meals! Our only regret being we had TOO MUCH to spare.

This Saturday, 01/10/2026, we’ll be at the square from 1–3 PM in solidarity with the people of Venezuela 🇻🇪

We believe that solidarity doesn’t stop at borders. Around the world, people are facing instability, shortages, and hardship caused and worsened by political and economic systems that fail everyday people. Standing with Venezuela means acknowledging that reality and choosing compassion over silence. It means showing up, even in ways that might feel small, because small actions can add up. It means recognizing that the struggles of people we may never meet are still deeply connected to the systems we live in, and that our care and attention matter.

While we’re there, we’ll be sharing a variety of snacks with anyone who is present and would like some. As always, food is freely given — no cost.

Food Not Bombs remains committed to feeding people, building community, and standing in solidarity with those impacted by injustice — locally, globally, and in every space where people are struggling. We hope this gathering will be a moment to reflect, to connect, and to show that standing together matters.

Come by, take a snack, share a conversation, Learn more, or simply be present. Solidarity is more than words — it’s action, presence, and care. Every small act counts, and together, they create something bigger.

We hope to see you there.

This season hits different when you remember how many families in our own county are struggling… and how powerful it is when a community decides no one gets left behind.

The Holiday Shop is back — now at two locations:

📍 Dec 13 — Find Familiar Games
📍 Dec 16 — SPI Spot

We’re collecting new or gently used gifts for all ages. These gifts don’t just fill a box — they remind someone that their community cares about them.

You can drop donations during normal hours at:
• Find Familiar Games
• Old Mr. Bailiwick’s
• PakMail of Mount Vernon
• UEC Theatres
• Gambier Childcare Center
• Pizza Cottage

🍎 And we’re also collecting FOOD for the Little Pantry of Mount Vernon.

If you’ve ever needed help, even just once… you know how much a single meal can mean.

Most needed items:
• canned goods
• pasta, rice, soups
• cereal
• peanut butter
• hygiene items
• baby/kid essentials

We will also be collecting donations TOMORROW at the Friendsgiving Community Meal!
📍 The Gathering Place (Lower Level), 425 S Edgewood Rd, Mount Vernon, OH 43050
⏰ 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

If you’re already coming to eat, connect, or volunteer… feel free to bring a gift or a non-perishable item for the Little Pantry. Every bit helps a local family.

If you want to donate, volunteer, or support in any way, here’s the info:
