Added some more chicks and guineas to the chaos! We've never had guineas so this will be an adventure. The cats are wishing they could get in and grab some chicken nuggets!

Trying something different this hatch. We are using one of the coops area brooder. We were able to enclose the sides to keep it warmer (not hard in Texas heat) also, as we add more chicks, we can easily expand. Hopefully all goes well!

We love to give the chickens extra snacks! Whether it be their own eggs, cooking scraps or even leftovers, they will come running for it.

Meet our handsome roosters 🐓 Our big lavender roo covers our main flock of mixed chickens and are mostly free range on the ranch. Our Ayam Cemani lives in a separate pen with some Ayam hens as well as some Bresse hens. That group gets supplemented with some kitchen scraps, weeds and pea fodder since they don't get to explore.
