Approximately eighteen years ago, too long ago for mom or I to remember exactly how long ago it was, my mom and I began raising Nigerian Dwarf Goats after she asked me if I would like to raise goats with her. At the time neither my mom or I knew exactly what this would lead to, especially since we were originally only going to have 8 as pets and soon had over 100.
In the past month my mom and I have made the difficult decision to sell all of the goats we own. We have made this decision because life is always changing and because we are no longer able to do this together, which was a large reason why we have enjoyed it over the years and the main reason we started doing it so long ago. The CUatLilRedBarn herd is now owned by Barb and Greg Brown of Atwood Acres!! We would like to thank Barb and Greg for being great to work with and making the entire process as easy as possible, we are very excited to have our does go to a performance home where they will continue to be proven!
My mom and I can not express enough that over the last 18 years we have had the opportunity to meet more great people than we could mention in one post and we have been fortunate to make many great friends. While raising goats we have also been extremely fortunate to have Cheryle Moore-Smith and Susan Ausman as mentors and we will always be grateful for all of the help that they have given us over the years.
We are also fortunate to have received many awards such as 2017 ADGA National Premier Breeder, 2017 and 2018 ADGA National Premier Exhibitor, 2017 ADGA National 1st place get of sire, 2018 ADGA National 1st place dairy herd, and ADGA Herd of Distinction. We have owned more does than we could mention in one post that have been influential to our herd, although the highlights throughout the years have been our does placing well at many ADGA national shows, including; breeding and owning the 2017 ADGA National Reserve champion SGCH CUatLilRedBarn Gwen Quinn, owning the 2018 ADGA National Reserve champion SGCH Old Mountain Farm Shy Elk, owning the 2018 ADGA National Best Udder SGCH Old Mountain Farm Sunday Drive, having one doe in the 2014 ADGA National grand drive, having one doe we bred in the 2016 ADGA National grand drive, having two does in the 2017 ADGA National grand drive, and having four does in the 2018 ADGA National grand drive.
If you are still waiting on getting ADGA papers for a kid you bought this year we are going to continue to work on getting ADGA papers to their owners, although we are working on registering all of our 2021 kids under AGS so that we can quickly get a form of registration to their owners.
If you have reservations on any of our does we will be giving our reservation lists to Barb and Greg so that people on our lists can receive kids that they have been waiting for.

Cuddle time❣️
SGCH CUatLilRedBarn Gwen Quinn is not as excited as we are about her pregnancy. She has less than one month left to kid!!!
We went to the SWODGA show this weekend and are excited to announce that CUatLilRedBarn Whistle Back won his third leg in ring 1 yesterday, and CUatLilRedBarn Heathrow won reserve grand champion!! We are also excited that CUatLilRedBarn Diamondback (owned by Honey Sweetie Acres) won his first two grand champions!!
Even though the cold weather was hard on our girls we are extremely proud of how they did. A few highlights include;
Ring 1: Mini Wheats was the 1st place two year old.
Ring 2: Our two year olds placed 1-5 (tumbleweed, frosted elk, Dutch Rose, mini wheats, Roxanne respectively) and 7-8 (Getty up and Lena, although we do not remember who placed before the other).
Ring 3: Specialized was the 3rd place yearling, Frosted Elk was the 2nd place two year old, and Vilano was the 2nd place three year old.
Unfortunately after a long day yesterday we have forgotten many of their placings.
We had an excellent beginning to our 2021 show season today at the Phase 5 Hoosier Dairy goat show.
CUat Lil Red Barn Villano won grand champion in ring 1 and 3 and reserve grand champion in ring 2. Vill also won best doe in show in one ring. Vill now needs 1 more grand champion to become a permanent champion!!
