Spring Hill, I really don’t even know how to put into words how thankful we are for you. ❤️

Today was HOT. Like, really, really hot. And yet you still showed up, waited in the heat, brought your friends and family, grabbed some food, chatted with us, bought some merch and supported our little Polish food trailer. That means more to us than you probably realize.

And then you went and SOLD US OUT. Not just of food… but of our pierogi plushies too?! 😱😱

We hope the fans and tents helped keep you all at least a little bit cooler while you waited and enjoyed your food. We know it was a HOT one, and we truly appreciate everyone who stuck it out with us.

We are just two women trying our best to share the food, traditions and recipes that mean so much to our family. Getting to see people enjoy it and come back for more never gets old. Every time you show up, you’re helping us keep a little piece of our Polish heritage alive, and we truly, truly appreciate that.

Thank you for enduring the heat with us. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for the kind words, the smiles, the encouragement and for continuing to support Mamusia’s Kitchen.

We are so lucky to have the Mamusia’s Army that we do. 🇵🇱🥟❤️

Until next time, Spring Hill. Dziękujemy!

Thank you, so incredibly much, Spring Hill! ❤️ A quick and rough-around-the-edges video from me, but I just wanted to say again how thankful we are for every single one of you who came out and endured that heat with us. We appreciate you more than you know! 🇵🇱🥟

🇵🇱🥟 A FEW MAMUSIA’S KITCHEN REMINDERS FOR THIS SATURDAY! 🥟🇵🇱

**Due to the limited man power at this time, we are not taking pre orders this weekend for hot food. Pre orders for bulk frozen items are always welcome at least 4-5 days before a weekend pop up event. Thank you for understanding❤️❤️**

Spring Hill, we’re SO excited to see you tomorrow! ❤️ Before you come hungry, here are a few little reminders so everyone has the best experience possible:

⏰ 1. Our food is made FRESH.
Fresh, handmade Polish food takes time! Especially when you’re ordering multiple plates. We promise it’s worth it. 🥰 To make things easier, we’ll take your phone number and text you when your order is ready so you don’t have to stand around waiting.

🥟 2. Everything is made in LIMITED, HANDCRAFTED BATCHES.
We’re a small family business, and everything is handmade in limited batches. That means we can only make so much at a time, so some items may sell out! If there’s something you really want, we recommend coming early. ❤️

🚗 3. Stay cool!
It’s going to be HOT ☀️ You’re more than welcome to wait in your vehicle while we prepare your food. Stay cool and comfortable while we do the cooking!

💧 4. We’ll have COLD WATER available for purchase.
It’s going to be a warm one, so please stay hydrated! ❤️

❤️ 5. Please be kind.
Behind Mamusia’s Kitchen are just a family working on a dream. We’re not a huge corporate restaurant with a dozen people in the kitchen. It’s a small family business, and we’re doing our very best to serve you delicious, authentic Polish food made with love. 🇵🇱

🕑 6. Our serving window opens at 2:00 PM!
Not 1:45… not 1:30… not 1:55… 😂😉 2:00 PM! We promise we’ll be ready to feed you right on time!

At Mamusia’s, you know we love a good blog and discussion post, and we couldn’t help but keep thinking about this one.

We were shopping at Lowe’s a few days ago when this sign caught my eye:

“Thank you for treating our associates with respect.”

And I thought to myself, wow. We’ve really come to a place as a society where we have to ask people for respect. Respect, which mind you, should be the bare minimum.

But apparently, somewhere along the way, people started leaving it at home.

And honestly, this hit home for us as a small family business.

Anyone who has followed Mamusia’s for a while knows our little slogan: Worth the Wait. And while it started as a fun way to describe handmade Polish food, there’s a deeper reason we came up with it. We’ve had interactions where patience, kindness and basic respect were completely lacking, and sometimes you can only be pushed so far before you have to say, enough is enough.

We aren’t claiming that businesses don’t have flaws. We aren’t claiming business owners or employees don’t have bad days. We’re human too.

But when people are pushed and pushed and pushed, and are continually treated with disrespect, eventually things get out of hand. That’s when signs like the one at Lowe’s become necessary.

And honestly, that’s the part that made me sad.

The fact that we’ve gotten to a point where we need signs reminding people to treat other human beings with respect.

Because the speed of life has completely overtaken us.

I get it. Times are tough. People are stressed. Everyone has things going on that we know absolutely nothing about. And a lot of the time, the person someone is lashing out at isn’t actually the reason they’re angry. They’re just the person standing in front of them.

But maybe this is a reminder to take a step back. Take a deep breath. Give yourself a second before reacting. And put the principle of respect back at the center.

And can we please remember the Golden Rule?

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Thank you to my second grade teacher for having that plastered right above the whiteboard for the entire school year, because apparently I needed the reminder to last a lifetime.

Even in disagreements. Even in confrontations. Even when you’re frustrated. You can still maintain respect.

And I’ll close this by saying this:

Please remember to respect small family businesses.

If we continue treating small businesses like punching bags, you’re going to see more and more of them close their doors. Because yes, we know business isn’t for the faint of heart. We signed up for the long hours, the hard work, the stress and everything that comes with it.

But being a good customer, and more importantly, being a kind customer, is what keeps small family businesses going.

Your patience matters. Your kindness matters. Your words matter. And sometimes, a little grace goes a whole lot further than you realize.

And to those of you who are always kind to us, on our best days, on our challenging days and on our everyday days…

We see you. We know you. And we love you.
