Here's a few photos of the cuties that I transported last week. The youngster was nervous about loading after this layover. I told her if she got scared we could come right back out. She stood and thought about it. She slowly stepped on the trailer, one foot at a time. She started to shake as I could feel her fear growing about being in the trailer. We walked off the trailer. I assured her that she would be ok and for her to take her time. Again she stood there thinking about it. I didn't put pressure and I didn't rush her. She's young and I wanted her to be comfortable. After a few minutes she hoped right in but this time she wasn't shaking. I asked if she was ready to go in her spot or get back out. She walked up to her hay and started eating. I slowly secured her door. It took some time but with allowing her to go at her speed and load and unload, I hope this helped her to process and think and know that she's not stuck. So the next time she has to be trailered she won't be so nervous. She was super sweet, just unsure, who wouldn't be right?? A big thank you to my client who understood why I was on the road a little later than I planned. I think it made for a better ride for all the horses that day! They all made it to their amazing destination happy and healthy! 😊

Good morning-

Dana, Karen & Jen should be arriving at their destination near Houston sometime this afternoon.

Dana has been in "awe" by the generosity and kindness of people she has been meeting on her way there. Yesterday at a gas station in Arizona, Dana was approached by a man who began to tell her what a great thing she is doing by going to help the people and animals of Houston and wishes he could do something to help. He then asked and "insisted" that he pay for Dana's gas. Which he did! We wish we had his name so we could give a big "THANK YOU" shout out to him but he wanted nothing in return.

This is just one example of the generous supportive people Dana has been meeting. And this just supports my belief that No matter what our country may be going through "politically" with our differences, we are all human beings who will come together to help our fellow Americans in time of need. ❤️

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been affected by Hurricane Harvey.

**Dana has been called on to help with the rescue efforts currently going on in Texas. She is *CERTIFIED in EMERGENCY LARGE ANIMAL RESCUE*.

Dana and a couple of her friends, Karen & Jen, (Karen- who is also certified) will be leaving for Texas tonight. They will be bringing much needed supplies to some of the affected areas along with their willingness and determination to help those (people-horses-animals) in need.

The devastation and destruction the people of Texas have endured are beyond words. Scared, horrified, sadness, overwhelming hopelessness are just some of the emotions I'm sure they are feeling.

We are asking that you Please keep the people and animals of Texas in your thoughts. The pictures I've attached is only a small portion of the horrific devastation that is happening right now.

I will keep you all updated on Dana's progress while she is there. Prayers are welcome for these awesome, selfless woman to keep them safe and out of harms way.
