Good morning everyone! Last chance to get a peach/nectarine order in from Paris Orchards. I have a phone call planned with them this afternoon so I assume we will be picking up soon! 🍑

The average box runs $32 I will have accurate pricing after today. There is a flat $10 fee for me to deliver them back to coos county with Myrtle point and coquille meet ups.

Spent some time chasing cows today. Found a bunch of tansy which is not ideal!

However, these caterpillars are the best thing to see on a tansy. They completely prevent tansy from spreading seeds. 🧡

Tansy is toxic to cattle and their reproductive system.

Something exciting for those who want to purchase bulk beef (which I do not offer) has popped up! 🥩

I have a lovely rancher friend over in Douglas county who raises beautiful beef and rarely has availability….BUT they had a customer fall through. So there is a whole beef available! 🐂

This is delicious beef, raised with good care and quality in mind. They are fed some grain, a light grain finish, like I like to do.

We have some of our stock from him and they are beautiful, bulky animals.

The meat is processed at a USDA facility in Eugene. You pay processing fees, cut and wrap and kill fee. For half $45.00 kill fee for whole $90.00 kill fee. You pay the rancher $5.25/lb

Generally pick up is at Mohawk butcher in Eugene. If other arrangements or needed you can speak with Nancy about it. Call her to get your bulk beef! 541-680-5258

Ranching is all a learning experience, coming from someone who did not grow up in this life. 👩🏼‍🌾

I have had to learn a LOT and most things…the hard way. You might wonder why I choose to share my failures with you all? It’s because I want to be fully transparent with my customers. I feel it helps to build trust between myself and my customers. They can trust me and the meat I provide them when I am honest about things around here.

Another side of it, I feel like it allows for people to see that everyone starts somewhere and it’s ok to build something while still learning at the same time. 🧡

I just want to thank you all for being along for the ride and supporting my business even when I have failures!

I look forward to perfecting each and every kind of meat we have to offer, even if it takes a couple of tries. My goal is to provide that “best meat you’ve ever tasted” product! 🥩
