About the Vineyard:
The Contursi family divides their time between Southern California and Napa Valley and acquired the Arrow&Branch Estate Vineyard in November 2007. Etude Wines founder Tony Soter, a renowned Napa Valley winemaker and prominent wine consultant, previously owned the organic vineyard property. The four acre Arrow&Branch Estate Vineyard is tucked into an area northeast of the City o
f Napa, on a slice of hallowed land known as Tulocay, which is part of the American Viticultural Area (AVA) of Coombsville. This distinctive appellation provides warmer days and cooler evenings, allowing the fruit an extended growing period in which to develop flavor and character. As a long-standing proponent of organic farming methods, Arrow&Branch employs no herbicides or synthetic fungicides, utilizing only certified organic materials. About the Name:
The name, Arrow&Branch, was chosen as a subtle reference to numismatics, the study and collection of coins. A professional numismatist since 1975, Steve Contursi owns Rare Coin Wholesalers, located in Irvine California. The name Arrow&Branch is both a nod to Contursi's success in the rare coin business, and pays homage to both US coinage and Americana. About the Wine:
Winemaking decisions, which include optimal harvesting, matching the oak treatment to the wine, and utilizing indigenous fermentations all ensure the wines of Arrow&Branch are vivid and rich, with layers of complexity, depth and exquisite texture.
